40 enhance/ 15 ias jewel?

Often a -15% req jewel is desired for getting the most vita. Otherwise an Um rune, Ber rune, or some very nice rare jewel. In my opinion ed% jewels are a mediocre improvement to offence.

ber or jah for more life would work. on my barb a 5% increase in life would mean a few hundred min

If you are going for pure vita, you will have your Enigma before Arreat's. If you're not, you will need to be at 118 anyways to equip Beast.

40/15's are the most common-used PvP jewels, yes. Getting anything better might be tough. The only other really decent option is a 40/20 ed/life jewel, but the increase is only ~47 life.

If BVB I've always relied on either a 40/9 str 40/9 dex or a high max dmg jewel like 30 max :cloud9:. Depends on your gear I guess. There are alot of nice rares out there as well. Is you Barb a BvC or a BVB?

Im BvC..so if i have a 34+ias Griefz and i put 40/15 in Arreats will the +15 ias do anything or have i already hit my highest bp..i use 40ias beastz/38iasGriefz

ias which is not actually on the weapons themselves, does nothing to ww attack speed, so thats a waste. Also, if you look at 40/15damage, thats bugged so you wont get the right damage bonus...also a waste.

I would think that 40/9 dex or 40/15 ias maybe usefull for widowmaker equiping, or faster widowmaker attack speed - someone else should verify that part.

yes the ias is used for the bow and faster zerking speeds.

usually 40/15 ed/ias is the optimum jewel for a bvc

I had the same question. i need to find something to put in my perf arreats, i'm a frenzy barb and my equipment is as follows
+30 res FORT
2x Ebotdz perf 415% ED
BK 5% LL
20/250 Raven Frost
10% LL Draculs
65/210 Waterwalks
Perf Spiderweb

What would be the best jewel or rune to put into my arreats?
