View Full Version : 313 poison dmg small charm? Should it exist?

Of course it does exist, I rerolled one the other day. It does 313 poison dmg over 11 seconds. I can't remember the name of the charm but it is "something" of Anthrax.

But I don't see this mod on the suffix/prefix list for small charms on Arreat Summit. The Anthrax suffix supposedly only does max 50 poison dmg over 6 seconds, and Pestilent is the highest prefix which does 175 poison dmg over 6 seconds. How did this charm get rolled?

It was probably toxic sc of anthrax. IIRC the damage per second of each affix get's added together and the new duration becomes the duration of both affixes added together.

That's correct. The slight difference with respect to damage comes from rounding. The game makes these calculations in frames instead of seconds which adds more precision to the final result because it rounds it at a different time than for charms with just one of these affixes.

451 Poison Damage over 12 Seconds exist as well, I cubed one some weeks ago, Small Charm of course, that's the maximum.

That's correct.
I thought that the damage is the sum and the duration is the mean of all sources? No? Oh well...

Nope, it's the other way around, else there wouldn't be charms with durations of 10 or more seconds :wink3:

I'd keep it just because it's legit. I'm keeping a Stone of Jordan ring even though I have no use for it, just because it's legit and I found it myself =P
