Please help me out here.
I can't believe it... I have 86 mf and i have runned ancient tunnels (which I was told should be as good to run as the pit) about 5 times on hell.
Still, I haven't found nothing but blue items and cleclaws sword. Which wasn't exactly what i hoped for :cry:
Do i need more mf to get something serious.. Or???
By the way i play europa-ladder blizzsorc...:azn:
Thx in advance..
The player who told you to run tunnels was probably xpac, that is where monsters are high enough lvl to drop any type of item in xpac
In classic you want to run a place where more rares drop, I would say that if you are using a blizz sorc that meph would be best place to solo. if you get a team I would say chaos sanct

In Classic there are only normal uniques and set items, which you can find in Nightmare, the only advantage of mfing in Hell in an increased chance of some items dropping.
You are better off searching for good rare items in Hell from act bosses or champion monsters, using little or no mf.
If you are looking for uniques and sets you would be better off looking in Nightmare as the monsters are easier to kill and you will be able to do more runs.
The more mf you have the greater the chance the item that drops will be a set item or unique. However you need to have a balance between killing power and mf, as it is better to have 100 mf and kill 20 monsters in a hour compared with having 200 mf and only killing 5 monsters.
If CS isn't your thing ancient tunnels are an excellent place to level a cold sorc until you're a pretty high level (at which point you'd want to switch to something like trav+act 4 areas). As an mf area it's ok, ancient tunnels and pits don't have exceptionally high mlvls. Pits is just pointless in classic, tunnels are only very good due to the lack of CIs.

CS-Chaos Sanctuary(Act 4 where you find Diablo)
CI-Cold Immunes

CS = Chaos Sanctuary
CI = Cold Immune
MF = Magic Find
From my experience, the best way to MF, is to find a thing you like doing, and do it often. I like taking my MF/GF Barb out on runs. For everyone it is different, some people like hitting up Meph 100 times in a row......
GF = Gold Find
have fun!

Is pits and tunnels also lvl 85 areas in Nightmare??
And would Chaos sanctuary on nightmare then be one of the best places to run...

Try this for area levels: http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?p=4041350#post4041350
Chaos Sanctuary is a good place to run as you get to kill Diablo, the 3 seal bosses and depending on your level you also get some nice experience. When I used to mf in Nightmare I use to kill Andy, Mephy and then Diablo.
Now that I have got most of the unique and set items that I need I run Mephy in Hell looking for rares.
