We know that Conviction's ability to reduce enemy resistance is capped at -150%. So here's the question. Is that a cap that the game institutes, which is to say ... is it possible to reduce a character's resistance by more than 150%, or is that all the game will allow?

To put this into context, let's say I'm using a FoH paladin's Conviction aura to get that -150%. If I then equip a FoHstick that, by use of jewels, deducts another 25% from their resists, will those jewels have any effect on my enemies or is -150% the max, period?

There's no limit on res reduction. However, you can never drop any player or monster's resists to a value lower than -100.
