I have seen a specific dueler whose smiter lld is basically invincible and it angers me tremendously. I do not how, but that is how it is and I want to find out why.

He is a smiter but of course also uses charge. My 2.2K FB tickles him...literally. It would probably take 25 of them to kill him. However, my kicksin ate him alive. So I can only guess at the build.

Because his smite damage was so high I'm going to assume Up'd Swordback. Weapon, Honor Knout. Peasant Helm, Noko, Hot Spurs, Twitch (or maybe Vmagi for res and MDR...he did not have on Spirit Shroud b/c he could be forzen), SOE, and Bloodfists. He is a caster-killer. Melees eat him, but he is nigh near invincible to magic and has a surprisingly high damage output.

Would maxing HS and lots of Conc yield more dmg for smite than conventional means? Or is it some mixture thereof? His attack speed was not max, but he hurt a LOT. I also did not detect OW, but that's the only way I can think of unless Conc helps that much and he had on a good Spirit shield.

I want to understand this build so I can find weaknesses to exploit (I'm not a fan of the whole "OH YEAH wellz my hdin can kill you!" thing, or bringing in another char build specializing in killing someone elses...if that was the case I could just fill an acct with 8 diff duelers and be "unstoppable"). Any thoughts?

If he's using Noko and/or Hotspurs OR Infernostrides, your strategy is easy. Get a different dueler to smack him around.

What's his name and is he on NL or Ladder? I personally LOVE dueling smiters with my Fury dudu. Range 5 pisses them off horridly.

Yeah, like I said my lld kicker absolutely raped him. It took maybe 4-5 Dtalons and he was gone. I'll PM you the answers to your questions since posting accts in this kind of reference is against the forum rules (at least, that's what I was told before).

Eh, so he's a sorbing smiter.

sorb at lol29? or do you just mean stacked res?

I consider sorb stacking or actualy absorb and for LLD this would additionaly include putting on exceptional amounts of MDR.
