Barbarian Problems

I'm lvl 31 barb. Like many barbs, I didn't add any points to Energy. But now that I can use WW, I can only use it once or twice without having to use potions. And I don't have any combat skills other than WW that's effective.
Normally hitting monsters takes too long and it's weak. What should I do?

And where should I go level up at my level (31)?

you need some leech or mana charms.

If you're SP, level anywhere in the first half of act 5, if you're on the realms then hop into baal run games.

At low levels, I usually value mana leech over life leech just so I can keep using my skills without constantly drinking pots. Sadly whirlwind has a high mana cost so leech is more important than with any other combat skill. Unfortunately not many good items have mana leech and you sometimes have to sacrifice some item slots for an item that just has mana leech and not much else, like the unique ring Manald Heal. If you have some gold you can try gambling for some rare rings or amulets with mana leech.

I agree with others - you definitely need some mana leech, and I also agree that you may have to sacrifice an item slot to get it. I wouldn't go nuts with mana leech though - somewhere around 4% should get you by. Also, it is not so bad as it looks initially. Instead of pumping ww, I would advise sinking some more points into battle orders. Even with a small starting mana pool, pumping battle orders will allow you to get the most out of it that you can.
