hammerdin 0 str build, 0 dex??

Ok everyone, I'm rebuilding my hammerdin with 0 str.

I was wondering how best to go about dexterity placement, I currently have 400 unused stats, and am about to trade my eni ap for a mp hopefully so I wont need and points in strength.

Now I love max block :P, but I was wondering if I could get it without spending points in dex, with all my gear at the moments I have 50% block (pala isn't finished and holy shield has 1 hard point in it, 17 soft points) and I have 86 dex.

I have worked out that I need 43 extra dexterity to reach max block at level 90. (So long as once I max all my hammer spells I max holy shield)
So what do you recommend, I could put all my points in vitality or put an extra 43 in dex, or change my gear a little, or add some charms, and go all vit and get max block from other sources? Or a mixture or both?

baffle me with answers please :P.

The points in HS should get you to 75, And if not, Not to hard to get the dex from gear.

Thanks for the advice, I guess for now I'll put around 400 points in vit (level 84ish? i think atm) and if I need some in dex I'll be able to put some in later.

maxing holy shield will get you to around 36% extra chance to block, it doesnt go much higher after that (if any).

just make sure you keep 10 stat points open when you hit lvl 90, so in case you dont have max block yet at lvl 90, you can put in a lil' more.
if you do have max block then, put it in vita

unless you have all the gear for your hammerdin already worked out, 0str and 0dex is going to be a huge waste of time and get annoying fast.

Going 0 dex is a bad idea, IMO, as you need at least 100 dex to block (even with a HoZ). And to get that amount of dex from gear you need to sacrifice a lot, which could have been used to improve your killing speed instead. (It may be an exception if you can afford godly circlets and crafted ammy, as arreat summit stats that the str/dex suffixes gives just as good returns compared to the life ones).

One further note, DO NOT USE STR/DEX CHARMS. Life charms has a better life per space ratio.

OK everyone, I'm level 90 now, at the moment I've spent no points in dex and 400 or so in vita, my block is 46 and I have 86 dex, so I was thinking what the best idea would be now, It's fairly obvious I'd have to spend some points in dex to get max block without a complete gear change. Can anyone recommend some sources of dex from my gear that I can use without changing my gear too much.

Right now I'm using:

Basically if you think any of that gear can be changed for something with dex without effecting me too much it would be helpful, i'm about to work out how much dex it would cost me to get max block.

Also what's the best way to get more life, atm I have 2.2k, would I get a bigger boost from buying a cta or buying lots of charms?

bear in mind I cant afford cta atm so I'd have to save up.

edit: anime are you saying that it would be be more effecient to spend points in dex and use life charms than spend points in vit and use dex charms?

Basically what Anime had said.
You are not quite godlike rich so you HAVE to spend points into dext. Life charms are far better.
