I'm wanting for playing time these days; some of you may remember why (she's growing like a weed!). I don't have the time or energy to have multiple accounts, but already I have three characters on the new ladder and need room. So I decide to give away all my NL gear.
Okay, I'll just go browse the 'gib free plz' games and see what happens. So I go to the first "Brg Free Nigma" game and announce, OK, here ya go, one dusk shroud, sorry that it's personalized. OK that was fun (and his reaction was priceless once he saw that I was serious). But this is way to slow. I know:
1) Go to Chat.
2) Announce: "I am giving away ALL my NL gear. Please come to game Franz (no password). Grab as grab can. "
3) Create game, wait.
And lo, a Frenzy did break out. I unloaded that entire necro one item at a time by dropping on the ground. Everything: charms, gear, jewels, runes, it all went, and I even dropped all the gold. Needless to say it took a while. I was done, got some "TYVVM I LOVE YOU"s and a few left.
That's when I said, "Oh wait, I have some more characters." HEH!
For one brief shining moment I was probably the most popular man on US East, non-ladder. I cleaned out my Glass Cannon Burizon rune mule, my IK Barb mule, and my Tal's sorcie mule. I was throwing gear like it was going out of style. Oh the fun of throwing HR on the ground and saying, FREE!
And then I was done. If you were one of those folks in game Franz yesterday, you're welcome again. Do I care that I threw about two years of work down the drain? No, not really. My daughter woke up right at the end and I was reminded that there are more important things than bytes and packets -- such as bottles and formula. :jig:
Oh I still have my current ladder characters. But at least now I have room for more mules when I have the chance.
