Im making a cold bowazon and I dont know where to distribute my skill points for the dodges and cold arrow attacks and if i should add to critical strike or if i should make it fire instead?

I'm not sure what the best option is for a classic bowazon; a 20 IAS +2 with enough damage to leech with, a unique long battle bow for the -3x cr, or the 50 IAS unique hunter's bow to hit a decent IAS bp while freeing up the rest of your gear. Unless going for the first option, additional points in critical strike are near useless. Max cold arrow and freezing arrow and get at least a few points in pierce. Don't bother with ice arrow. You've got a few options at this point, in LoD I'd probably recommend maxing lightning fury and then charged strike for a boss killer and CI crowd killer. Immolation arrow simply isn't very good as an option for CIs, valk's probably worth a point though and I'd recommend not avoiding d/a/e on a frost maiden.

Maxing pierce, or at least getting it high enough before the diminishing returns kick in too badly, is pretty nice. A high level valk can actually do a little but of killing, and is fairly tanky, so more than a few points there is good.

I'd go with the a Wizendraw (-3x cold res, mana, other mods?) over the 50 IAS bow (Rogues bow) but a nice rare could be cool. +2 skills would help your dodges and pierce, allowing more points in stuff like valk.

Pvp bowazons are useless in classic rofl, atleast they are if you BM, and BM is the only type of pub dueling you find on classic so good luck w/ that.

I wouldn't call bowazons useless at classic pvp, especially if you wanted to BMd too (I suppose if you wanted you could get an allied paladin with fanat, conc, etc standing nearby in town, an ench and so on). I'd imagine bowazons would be most effective in classic duelling at levels 18-29 and no doubt pking unprepared pvmers. I've been keeping an eye out for a nice level 18 bow myself. As for a pvp FA though, imagine a fireball sorc who attacks more slowly, does maybe 1/5 the damage and can't teleport, use a shield or even pump vita without losing damage (though to be fair I should mention access to slow, deep wound and d/a/e).

Don't waste any points in ice arrow except 1 as a pre-requisite. To increase your freeze duration use items with cold damage (jewelry is your best bet, eye of etlich being the unique to go for if you can't get your hands on some good rares. Frostburn would also work).

Rogue's Bow can reach 8 fpa with 25 off weapon IAS wheras Wizendraw can reach 10 fpa with with 40 off weapon IAS... so pretty comparable against enemies who don't already have some CR. For FA dps better than a bad wizendraw, worse than a high one. Neither of these bows have any piercing however which will outperform either against large densely packed mobs (cows) so a doomslinger would also be pretty effective despite only being able to reach 11 fpa (10 additional IAS), with its 35% pierce and +1 skills.

What is BM?

I've heard that Cold Zons can actually be quite a tough PvP kill. Warlocks buddy apparently has one that holds his own.

I wonder if you are talking about Kris, because I know him too; he seems to do pretty well in duels, but I think he is using angelics, because the lying character screen is bugged again and the AR of a cold amazon is pretty low

You don't need AR to hit with the cold explosion part.

And FireMarshal BM = Bad Mannered.
i.e Potting (life/rejuvs), town guarding, NKing etc.

and do you guys prefer freezing arrow on left click or right click?

left, not hot keyed. Then on right:
F1 - Valk
F2 - Decoy
F3 - secondary skill
F4 - slow missiles
F8-Town Portal

Level 6/7/6 dodges are fine. This gives 40% to the first, 50% to the second, 40% to the third. One in crit strike (or enough to get 50% if you like your valk), enough pierce to get a decent level (75% is nice, 50% OK).
The rest can be used to pump up your valk (decoy/crit strike/maybe a few more into passives)
One in jab, then carry a rare lance to take down extra-hard cold immunes that your valk can't handle.
This build is very safe with a nice valk. Get 750 or so life, 50% all rez, and a tnky valk and you'll breeze through the game (at least until lat Hell :P)

I prefer right, I way prefer using my skill hotkeys a lot over using shift all the time when possible.

I am still puzzled on how this build can be effective in pvp. With a 1k frozen arrow it only does 40 dmg to a 75% resisted opponent... while having bad resists and no block on one self
