A Call To Arms for those daring to play in a cooperative, 100% legit, reset-style group environment, untwinked, from Act 1 Normal to Hell Baal, hardcore, in one sitting. DO NOT VOTE UNLESS YOU ARE 100% SURE YOU WILL BE THERE FOR THE ENTIRE 10am–10pm EST SESSION.
No-shows = blacklisted. Date with the most votes by Monday, August 20th or first date with 12+ signups, whichever comes first, will be the CTA Round #3 date (alternatively, we can just do this when Sara/Dave/Mike are free). :>
TIME: 10AM - 10PM Eastern Standard Time, excepting a majority veto. Roughly 12 hours (likely less, since I don't plan on dying 2x). Round #1 was anti-summon/teleport. Round #2 was cookie factory. Round #3 is proximity synergy.
TEAM: Minimally predefined characters, as per prior CTA learnings. For a 'safe' sub-12 hour run, dedicated teleport, BO, and a bunch of summoned tanks (skeletons/revives) are clutch. Open to themed suggestions, but decision will be made in the CTA #3 signup thread.
Please know how to play/develop untwinked builds in hardcore. If you make a character beyond your patience, you'll get bored and suffer for it. Don’t be a burden. No duplicates.
Staple
1. Summoner Necromancer
2. Orb/TK/Teleport Sorceress
3. Battle Orders Barbarian
Example team (just think of the synergies!)
- Summoner (tanks, amp/decrep/LR, corpse explosion, Might Merc)
- Orb TK (teleports, Defiance Merc)
- BO Barb (Berserker or Frenzy with 2x Strength weapons, War Cry, Prayer Merc)
- Hammerdin (Concentration, Chaos killer; Holy Freeze Merc)
- Conviction Zealot (Conviction, Zeal + Utility: Salvation, Meditation, Cleansing, etc., Holy Freeze Merc) for Norm / Early NM uses Meditation until Insights are built
- Enchant/FW Sorceress :D (~1k dmg to every attack!)
- Multishot or Strafer with a Ravenclaw/Kuko/Demon/anything with exploding arrows + Enchant/Conviction... whoa
- BF (enchant, remember) Trapper + DS + Conviction + Amplify Damage
*** Please be aware that team selection is heavily rigged in favor of previous CTA reserves that showed up but didn't get to play, friends, veteran members, and those who've contributed significant time and knowledge to these forums.***

- can't commit to the entire session
- have an unstable internet connection

- are unfamiliar with teamwork and sharing
- are inexperienced with hardcore untwinked play
