V/T capable of killing lilth

checking to see if a v/t is capable of killing lilth. I know for a fact that a hammerdim cannot just plain kill her with 1 pt smite, so i'm wondering if 20 smite, 20 holy shield, 20 fanatism will be enough to hit her fast enough that the life tab will keep the bulb full.

I thought we decided in the last thread that with maxed block, a hammerdin can indeed kill Lilith. Therefore, the argument for a V/T is similar. With maxed block, she will fall easily. Without......, I have some doubts. (Though I would say you must be crazy not to go block on a smiter.)

Anyways, a 1-point smiter is basically the build you described above, with the exception of only having 1 point smite. Therefore, if a 1 point smite can do it, so can a 20 point smite.

The way you kill Lilith is thru crushing blow, not actual damage. So the difference between a 1 point smite and maxed out smite will not kill her faster, because like I said it's not the smite damage that does it, it's crushing blow.

So if you have at least 50% cb, then a 1 point smiter will do the job exactly as fast as a maxed out smiter. Hell, you could have a level 50 smite, and you still won't see a difference between the two.

The issue he had with the last thread is that Lilith is out damaging his leech from life-tap. The problem back there in his last thread was that he didn't have maxed block to negate 3/4 of her damage, nor a grief to make him leech insane amounts. If he had either, then it should not have been a problem to start with. I had a similar problem with my Tesladin before too, for a slightly different reason, so I know roughly what was going on.

I really don't know where your advice comes from...because i'm the one who used the hdin with her and saw the results. so before you start give more posts u should try by EXPERIENCE. Also it isn't the holy shield that'll make the difference ..animcraze you're confusing issues again..it's the fanatism aura that gives u increased damage and attack speed...I have killed dclone a few times with the hdin using smite with crushing blow, but obviously you folks still theorize, lilith hits faster and takes ur life bulb down quicker..so it's a matter of asking somebody with experience if the fanatism aura will take her down. THE ONLY WAY YOU'LL SURVIVE WITH LILITH USING A HDIN IS WITH A CTA or GRIEF PB mixed in with a few zeal points - so it's not a true hdin build but a mod. i want a tested experience ...blah blah blah

you r an idiot, u was using a 4 shael'd crystal sword, hence why u didn't reach a fast smiting speed to keep up the leeching. Has nothing to do with the hammerdin gears because u can turn a hammerdin into a poor man smiter switch helm, gloves, and boots, and using 6sock crystal sword. There tons of thread that proved a hammerdin with a lil gear switch can solo uber with 1 smite, so ur lil whinning *** need to STFU and not make a new thread when u didn't even have the right setup.

Weapon: A 4xshael crystal sword/dimensional blade/phase blade. or a shaeled lightsabre. With the 4xshael option you can smite at max speed without the need of fanaticism. This will come handy vs mephi because you can have your salvation aura on against him to negate his conviction. A shaeled lightsabre will allow you to smite at one breakpoint slower, but it grants a very handy lightning absorb and it ignores target’s defense when you zeal with it, so you can hit the minions with that and deliver loads of crushing blows quickly if needed.

A crystal sword and dimensional blade would require 180% ias to reach the 6fpa smite while a pb would only require 65%. This is because crystal swords and dimensional blades have a weapon speed of [0] not the [-30] that a pb has.

Some qs that need answering before we can diagnose the problem:

1. How much cb did you have?
2. What aura/lvl were you running? lvl1 Fanat? lvl20 Conc?
3. Did you have a source of Life Tap?
4. What speed were you smiting at? It seems that given the 4shael Crystal Sword, without Fanat, that you are Smiting at 8fpa (3.1 attacks/second). Getting the fastest Smite (6fpa) increases your damage by 1 Smite in that second, which adds up to be a lot. Even 1pt in Fanaticism on a Hdin works wonders, just even 1pt with your 4shael Crystal Sword speeds you up by a whole frame already.

V/Ts will have a pretty easy time, I think, since their maxxxx Fanaticism means that not much else is needed to hit the last Smite bp.

The easiest way I think to deal with Lillith is to use Antidote Potions :laugh:

They do...they split the other 30 pts over FoH/HS, and drop a pt into Conviction.

Conc also gives you increased damage. But I agree this is going no where neither, as I do not have enough information about the problem you have. I am probably missing something very obvious. The thing is, we are theorizing from experience. As long as you have more damage per second than my smiter posted below, then you should not die (whether it is your old build or your new).

This is my first experience with Lilith with my 1 point smiter, and you can judge yourself what is necessary and what is not. He had:
1.2k life
15% DR
lvl 25 fanat
lvl 27 holy shield
lvl 8 smite
Weapon was heaven's light, so no +damage (ie. no grief)
Stacked resist (I am too lazy to change gear)
No fade prebuff, and of course no CtA
Shield was an upped HoZ
Total smite damage was about 1k

He took a few reds vs Lilith, IIRC, and might have took a purple or 2. First I lured her away from all the other succubus, then use life-tap wand to trigger tap, then uses smite and only smite vs Lilith. Zeal was never used vs her as it was not necessary.

My experience of my failed tesladin. He had:
< 1k life
15% DR
lvl 5 holy shield
lvl 5 smite
No +damage (ie. no grief)
Has fade, but no fanat or conc

You can see why that is not going anywhere.

Edit: Slightly changed the lvl of the skills as I reflect back on my equipment.
