Quick cow level question

If I don't kill the Cow King I can keep doing this over and over, right? Also, would it be safe for a level 73 Hammerdin to try this in normal? Thanks

Yes, and yes. You should also be able to do it in nightmare too.

Yes you can rerun the Moo Moo Farm as many times as you like as long as the King doesn't get killed.

I'd be careful with a hammerdin in the Cow level as the chances you'll kill the king go up. The best runners would be LF Javazons and Lightning Sorceresses since the King is lightning immune.

Regarding the ability to open the Cow Level, I'm 99% sure of the following:

1) You can open the portal as long as you have killed baal in that difficulty

2) You lose this ability if you are in the Cow Level and the king gets killed (doesn't matter by whom, as long as he dies while you're in the level)

3) You can always enter an existing Cow Level portal regardless of the above 2 conditions.

I thought it was only if you are partied with someone who kills the king?

That's my understanding as well. A while back I did a bunch of cow runs where one member would unparty, kill the king and then reparty each run. We didn't have any problems opening the portal for the next run. This was a while ago though, so if Blizzard changed something with the 1.11b patch update I could be wrong.

u will only lose the quest if the person who kills king did not have quest.
i am about 95% postive about the following

as long as u didn't kill him, even if u are staying next to and partying the person who's going to kill, as long as he have killed king before,u won't lose ur quest and can keep on making cow.

but if someone who did not kill king before kills him, doesn't matter if his in ur party or not, everyone in cow lvl loses the ability to make cow.

I think the rule requiring the killer to be in your party was removed in 1.10, when they also removed the rule requiring a character to have killed baal in that difficulty in order to enter the portal.

I am not sure about the point that IamMartin brings up - which is that someone who's already killed him can repeatedly do so without affecting the others.

Leave it to blizzard to make access to this secret level so confusing =/
