View Full Version : How can I edit my threads?
I started some threads in the US-West Std Trading Forum, and I want to change the contents a bit. How do you edit? It did let me edit before, but it doesn't let me anymore.

You may only edit up to an hour after the initial post.
if you ask a mod nicely they might edit it for you :wink3:
for modifying your trade list, just repost your list, or reply with adds after someone else posts a reply to avoid bumping

I will not edit postings to give people a benefit in trades or to change offers which have already been made. I also don't edit threads to change details about offer lists etc., else I would have to do that 10 or more times a day and people might expect that I'm online all day long to do that. BTW, I'm also not doing that with respect to my own postings meant for trading after one hour is over. There is a reason for the one hour limit. What I do is closing threads on request and sometimes editing thread titles because there's a tighter time limit for editing.
Strictly spoken it would be best for trading if editing wasn't possible at all because you can cheat by editing your posts to change the context of follow-up postings.
