HC block or full vita?

Hello there

Ive decided to reroll on hardcore to get bit more challenge.

I dont know if my summoner should go full vita or max block. As i see it:

With max block i lose around 400 life (200dex => 200vit = 400 life)

So i gain 400 more life if I go full vita. Does block help against burning souls and other magic attacks, or does it only help against physical damage?

Any1 might explain or help me choose?

As long as you are not teleporting arround with him, pure life for sure. If you plan to tele or even duel with him, max block becomes more important.

I agree with McCain123.

To be honest, the only elemental attack to fear is from Souls, just get high LR and you should be fine (Dim Vision helps too). Any physical attack should be intercepted by one of your many minions, or your Bone Armor, giving your minions time to catch up and you run away, or to recast Bone Armor

However, if you do start to port around with say, Enigma, block does start to help and I would advise it, otherwise as a Summoner, you really should not be getting hit.

Everyone of my HC characters uses block if they use a shield, all except for my Fishymancer.

first think u need 200 dex at high level but not 200 hard points,
25 start + torch + anni + waterwalk and other stuff
so its 200-300 life u loose

homonuclus is perfect shield and got high block too, so its perfect to go block with necro.

resists and dim vission will take elemental dmg away, and 75% chance to block is so sweet on all physical especialy arrows...
