View Full Version : High damage merc weapon or Pride merc?

I am an Enigma wearing MF (all PvM) skelemancer with fairly good gear. My merc is an Act 2 might merc (obviously) and is wearing Fortitude and Andy's and an Ethereal Bonehew currently, so before I trade for a Pride I would like some feedback.

What are your opinions? High damage merc (Ethereal Insight, Obedience, Tomb Reaver, whatever) or Pride for the Concentration aura? I have 15 skeletons when full up, so I have a fairly high level (not sure exactly).

I mainly MF the Pit, Worldstone Keep, and Pindle/Shenk/Eldritch.

Does Pride with 15 high level skeletons dominate (I have heard mixed answers)? Will my merc do enough damage with Pride to stay alive by leeching?

Eth obedience for the win, crushing blow helps... Alot. Even without Pride your skellies should pack quite a punch, especially since you are using Enigma for stacking purposes. To kill bosses fast, you need as much CB and speed on your merc as possible. :)

Well since u rich, i would go for infinity.

Hate pride couse of low dmg, and shattering corpses.

with good infi in eth CV or better,
u can get awesome dmg on weapon,
lower enemies defense so skellies always hit
and lower fire res so corspe explosion got more dmg...
if u use mages it helps them too...
and last but definitly not least

make an iron golem out of the beast runeword so you get fanat too :o

Unless you never use corpse expo(and even then) I agree with Osto 100%. Infinity is the only way to go for a Summoner. Try to raise an army with your merc using pride...

Eth Bramble
Eth Infinity

A2 Might Merc

Your skells hit practically every time, they get a dmg boost from the might, and the throns aura will actually work rather nicely since its your summons being hit, not yourself (afaik anyways).
