How do pkers find me when I refuse party?

I'm just curious if anyone knows if there is a cheat that people are using that tells them what area someone not partied with them is in? I was in the underground tunnel level 2 (pretty random area) at 45 when a I get the hostile sound and die to blizzard. I didn't even see a sorc. Sucks to lose all my mf gear, but oh well. I just had though that public games would be safe if I was in a random area and didn't party. Well, safe from being targeted specifically, they'd have to find me first. But this seemed so fast and deliberate I wonder if there is such a hack, if so I think I will just stay in private games.

You may not know as there is "map hack" and other things that show you stuff that isnt suppose to be seen but as far as I know there is nothing to tell them where you are they still have to find you one way or another.

How close was the tunnel to the way point? If you killed a few foes getting to the tunnel and then went in it would only take a few seconds to notice that there were no foes up to it but alot just past it and have a good chance someone went in there especially if you dont pick up every drop.

Well I had killed my way down, I didnt have a tp open or in that area that I recall. I know a little of maphack, was thinking maybe this was similiar.

I suppose you are right, lots of ways to find people, just a risk to be in a pub game eh. A widespread mod like this though would be really bad.

I know mousepad's in 1.10 listed where people were even if they didn't party. It wouldn't be completely out of the realm of possibility to assume the current MHs would have the same functions.

Can ussually guess which act they are in, Due to there level.

Then look for dead bodys/items on ground and follow that. I PK a bit =] People that don't s/e when they see me on screen ussually die.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious if there is a trail of bodies, especially open chests or items on ground near the WP. Usually when I'm hunting people I first guess where they are based on game title, their level, and obvious places to quest and level up, and if I don't immediately know then I start checking off WP's. Requires some patience but I usually find the person.

Now to think that I do that with a level 10 assassin, and this guy did it with a sorc capable of teleporting very quicly... it's not that hard to believe he probably found you within minutes if not seconds.

They hunted you as neutral and then hit the hack when they found you.
