View Full Version : Can you control Tornado path?
I have made my first druid ever. I have many questions but here is one (or two). Can you control tornado? How do you use it besides just casting a bunch and hope they hit?
thanks
I think they have a random path that cant really be aimed at the tip of a pin.
I think it might come naturally to some on where to predict where the nados will go when played a lot.
i think they have a preset pathing depending on where you face, not sure though
Since SSoG's gone atm, I'll field this question:
the path of the tornado is a very peculiar pattern, and can basisically be derived from the following algorithm..
A + A'/1!(x-b) + A''/2!(x-b)^2 + A'''/3! (x-b)^3 +... A^n/n!(x-b)^n-1
where A is the gravitational constant, x is the speed of light, and b is the number of doritos Kiba eats per week..or its just a worthless taylor series that means nothing... one of the two ^.^
you're missing parenthesis.
A^n/n!(x-b)^n-1 is [A^n/n!]*(x-b)^n-1 OR A^n/[n!(x-b)^n-1]
Since SSoG's gone atm, I'll field this question:
I usually don't answer Windy questions, anyway, since I have very little experience with the build. I started my second one this ladder season, but he's only level 44 at the moment.
I can say that you *CAN* control the Tornado's path to a certain degree. Stand on one point and target another point, then cast a Tornado. If you stand in exactly the same place and target exactly the same place and cast again, the second tornado will follow the path of the first tornado exactly. This means if you find a place to stand and aim where you're hitting your target, stay still and every single tornado will hit.
As for how you find a place to stand and target so that the tornado will hit... that's a little bit of trial and error, and a little bit of dumb luck. Step and fire, step and fire, step and fire, and keep repeating until you find a combo that works. If you get really ambitious, try to find a place where you don't just hit your primary target, but the Tornado will actually pierce and hit enemies behind, too. Or, if all else fails, run up to point blank range and start casting- all tornados should hit at superclose range. I've got max Oak, max Cyclone Armor, and max Block on my Windy so that if I get sick of trying to aim I can just run up to point-blank range without dying (hopefully).
