char page just hang with error.

when i double click my char the box comes up and the whole screen hang then i alt+tab the error shows something like halt..unrecoverable error blablabla...is it a form of crash?I'm dling the 1.11b patch now it's not included in auto patch in bnet right?will it resolve it?

1.11b cannot be older than your current patch, 1.11b is the latest one released.

And it is included in the auto-patch of Battle.Net.

Did this just recently start happening? If so, think back to the last things you've done on/to your computer. If you've installed new software, updated drivers, downloaded XP updates, anything has changed it's probably the cause of the bug. Try to undo whatever you did.

If you don't know/can't undo, my suggestion would be to uninstall D2, run antivirus/spyware/adware cleaning programs, then reinstall D2 and D2:LOD. Connect to Bnet and it'll download the newest patch automatically.

Don't worry, Bnet keeps your characters, so you won't lose anything. But, if you have any single player character back those up first. Check the Single-player forums for details on that.

If all of the above don't work, let us know what operating system you're using and we'll see what else we can suggest.
