Good Fury Werewolf equipment for poor characters.

I have a fury werewolf with an upped ribcracker, and I've done very well through nightmare mode, but hell is kicking my butt. I have great damage output on all buy physical immunes (so need a good weapon switch there), and my defense is terrible (387 def field plate), which really didn't matter in nightmare, but is getting me stomped in hell. I don't do magic finding; quite frankly, I find constant meph and baal runs to be tedious at best (and mood-destroying at worst), so what would some good options be for me that would require 60 straight hours of meph runs?

I find these would be good and cheap.

Wepon:ribcraker
Armor:Durry shell
Belt:anything with res or life
boots:goblin toe or water walks?
Gloves:venom grip or soul drainers maybe even bloodfist.(im not sure how expensive either of these are)
Helm:Jalals/Cerebus or a good pelt with life res fhr and maybe even +skills
Ammy:atma's the 5% chance to cast amp damage will rid PI's of their immunite.
rings: AR/life rings perhaps?

I have a set of Soul Drainers that I'm trying to get up to level 74 for, but hell's stomping me pretty hard w/out any defense. What do Duriel's Shells trade for?

I would'nt think very much but i have no clue and if your tring to lvl go back to NM if nessecary.

for cheap belt I would go for string of ears, for life leech and dmg reduction %. Jalals for helm, maybe gore riders for boots (not sure how much these are worth these days, wherever you play, as you wanted cheap gear). Bloodfists are good option for wolfie, high fhr and life and cheap.

keep the upped ribby.

helm jalals, bite, guilhams face, hey any of the uni helms that have any plus to skills on them that are druid only that arnt that chicken hat. Should work.


Armor wise

Smoke- 50% resist all

Lion heart - theres a ton of ressons why you should use it 30% resists, plus to life, plus to all stats, and what else 10% damage.

Treachery- Fade lvl 15 will give you a ton of resists, dr, weakens the effects you get from being cursed, and lowers the amount of time you are cursed.

Not as cheap but worth it.

Ive used this set alot when I start ladder. And its all ways been effective for me. Your talkin resists, plus to skills, plus to stats, and preatty much all you will ever need for a wolf.

I assume you have a source of CBF somewhere? If not, get a raven or duriel's shell. Getting a reaper's toll on merc is also nice, though I don't know how much they cost on the new ladder.

The Lionheart is a bit pricey in terms of the runes... I have a hel, but no spare lum or fal. I used my only lum I've ever found to up my ribcracker. Now, I may have access to an Um rune, a buddy of mine told me he may give it to me. Is Duress a pretty good runeword? And is it even active? On this site (diabloii.net), it says "unactive," but I know they hardly ever update this site anymore.

AnimeCraze, I really want a Raven for the Cannot Be Frozen, but have been unable to find one yet. This is the first wolf I've ever played that I didn't find one by Hell mode. :-/

Duress is great. Though you would want to check the runewords on Arreat Summit instead of the ones here, since the ones here are out dated.

Anyways, trade for a Raven's whenever you can, as CBF is 1 of the most important mods for a melee character to survive.
