Shopping for a good pair of Bo weapons

I've been shopping a while for some good warcry weapons for by barb's switch. I've found regular ones with +3 warcry which I currently use, but I've been in search of better ones with strength on them already. I searched for this and found some useful stuff krischan had posted about a month ago on how to figure this all out, but one of the links was dead for the affix calculator. So I'm making a post to have you guys help me out in finding the best level character I need to get these weapons from a vendor. I've just been doing hell Larzuk.
Here are the requirements for this item:

+3 Warcries (echoing prefix alvl 60)
10-15 to strength (giant suffix alvl 59)
Must be able to get 2 open sockets from Larzuk. (no javelins or small daggers)
Must be able to be held in one hand by my barb. (exclude any elite swords, any polearms/pikes, or any two hand axes)

Things I need to know are:

What difficulty?
What vendor?
What level character?
Will more people in the game increase my chances?
Do the chances for 2 sockets change with a 2*3 weapon vs a 1*4 vs a 1*3 (using the inventory space they take up).


I need 2 of these with 2 sockets so hopefully I get lucky and get 2os on the first 2. Thanks in advance to anyone that helps out! Sorry I had to resort to posting this but I was having some difficulties with the information I got out of previous posts on the subject of shopping vendors for items.

Normal and NM Larzuk, just check the crystal swords and leave the rest be. I think you have to be NM to get 15 STR mod... not sure though.

In order for a Crystal sword to get both the Echoing prefix and Giant suffix, it'll need to be ilvl 65. The shopping char will need to at least be clvl 60. The odds of you purchasing such an item is pretty slim though, at around 1:104,160 just to get those two affixes to spawn on a magical crystal sword, let alone getting the max +15 strength, and then 2 sockets from Larzuk.

It's going to be similiar odds for most other melee weapons, except the required ilvl would be different. Best of luck.

Orphan propably has the facts correct (as always Orphan does, he is statistic hero!), but I just want to give you some hope. Last ladder I bought one exactly what you're looking, +3warcries, +15strength crystal sword. I bought it from Larzuk in hell. If you play on Battle.net and you can have access to 3 keys, just make portal next to Larzuk, so you can refresh his items fast and easy. You might also "find" him selling some nice 4soc/high life armors or even Jewelers Phase Blade of Quickness :grin:

Yes and no. There is a shopping calculator at http://members.iinet.net.au/~dcarson/shopcalc.html but you can only really use it to determine who sells what base item.

Once you know that, you can use the affix calculator at http://diablo2.ingame.de//spiel/expansion/itemdb/affix_index.php?lang=en&version=lod&patch=111

It's easier if you know how to determine the affix level of an item based on it's quality level though.

There's also an affix calc at http://www.diabloii.nu/affixcalc but it's never been up for me, so I can't really say much about that one.

You probably want a quick way to reset the inventory as well, so either open a cow portal next to the optimum act 1 vendor or (if you think it's worth it) an über portal next to the best one in act 5. Anya already has a portal next to her, but the only items which can be echoing are glaives and the like IIRC which cannot have socketed.

BTW, it's already boring like hell to shop for just a single pair of any one-handed echoing weapons, so looking for a dagger class weapon with a good +str affix and hoping for 2 sockets from Larzuk is most certainly a nightmare.

the chances of finding a jewelers phaseblade of quickness at Larzuk (when he ofcourse sells a phaseblade wich is about 1:20 when i have to guess) is 1:66560 or 0.0015024%.
I'm not gonna try it in practice though.

Why not just Larzak 2 sockets in the magic 3+warcry weapons you already have, and then Fal them?

Because he will get more +str if he does that with echoing weapons of the <+str suffix>, obviously. :azn:
