Not sure if this is the place to post this, but... Meh, the blizzard forums are down anyhow.
So, after I formatted my computer, I noticed that one of my Diablo II cd's were "destroyed" after installing and running the game (It didn't find my CD)
I downloaded a random crack from the internet, all working as intended until I start the game. The battle.net gateways (USEast, Europe etc.) were changed with random gibberish!
I reinstalled the game with some .iso files and a CD emulator.
To my dissapointment, the weird gateways are still there! And the folder was totally empty before reinstalling.
Right now I'm trying to install it in a different folder. I will edit the post afterwards with the result.

Any ideas?
Thanks.

I downloaded a random crack from the internet

theres your problem

the gateway info is stored in your registry
delete these keys

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Diablo II
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment\Diablo II
HKEY_USERS\*random alphanumeric string here*\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Diablo II

A random crack might have a key logger in it to, and as soon as you actually log in to your account you might find someone other than you in your account. They probably won't go mf'ing for you.

along with a method of stealing your cd keys, so dont be suprised when you get it working and your cd key is already in use

I knew the risk when I downloaded the crack. Don't worry, I might aswell buy new copies of the game to replace my broken ones.
Oh, and I forgot to update.
The reinstalling didn't work.
But you said something that the gateway info was stored in my registery. How do I access it? Yes, I suck at this. Meh.
