Hungry Windbear?!?

With Flaming rabies nerfed by the fix of the ctc synergy bug, I have been looking for a way to synergize a Ctc skill and make it into an effective PvM build.

I was wondering if anyone has tried to synergize the Windhammers 33% Ctc Twister by maxing Tornado and Hurricane. Windhammer also has a massive 50% Crushing Blow. I was contemplating making a PvM Bear that used tons Hunger + CB like a regular Hungry Bear, but also utilized the Ctc Twister as a means to stun and deal additional damage.

Has anyone tried making this work? Do you think this sounds stupid? :jig: What gear would help make it work? Duel carrion winds? Would Horizons Tornado be better (sacrificing CB for a more hefty synergized Tornado attack, while gaining the use of a shield)?

I think even with the synergies the twister would do pathetic damage , even wind druids twisters do weak sauce damage.

Yeah, it looks like fully synergized Windhammer would Ctc 400-500 damage twister 33% of the time. Thats not great for a 43 pt investment.

Now that I have checked more uniques, Stormlash looks like the best option. It edges Horizon's Tornado in damage and has cb for Hunger. Horizon's is faster though.

Stormlash with Shael and 55ias offweapon OR Faith Merc and no offweapon ias is 7 frame Hunger.

So this PvM Windbear would look something like this...

-The frequent Tornado would Stun and do sugnificant Damage, which is a weakness of Hunger.

-Static Field is going to help on Bosses. (Does Static work in Uber Trist?)

-I chose Atmas because of 5%Ctc Amp Dam on Phys Immunes and the 20%boost to Ar. Also a huge Psn Res boost. I don't need plus skills, as +to synergies won't up the damage on a Ctc skill. I chose to squeeze as much Cb and survivability out of this setup insted of giving myself a 45%ish Deadly Strike (Highlords+Gores).

Skills are.....

20 Hunger
20 Twister
20 Cyclone Armor
20 Lycanthropy
Rest in Bear

I chose to forgo Oak because it will die all the time and I need to leach with Hunger to stay alive, expecially in Uber trist. Lycanthropy is a better choice.

If you're going to use Stormlash and synergize the Tornados, I'd strongly recommend making a Fury Wolf instead of a Hungry Bear. The attack speed is a ton better.

Tornado deals physical damage, so physical immunes will receive no damage from it unless you first break their immunity.
