With the current status of the game, much different from 09... most bowazons are using faith in pvp. I only have a windforce (this is ladder and I still havent built up enough wealth for faith/fort), so is going the 60 ias armor / vamp gaze route still viable? With a harmony bow on switch for vigor... i should be able to doge pretty much everything I can run away from right?

I don't have a cta, so I don't really know how much past 1500 life i'm going to get. My question is that is survivability that important on a pvp zon these days? With access to vigor, and huge range for inflicting massive damage, are max resists, max dr, and a god load of life really that important for pvp? Most hits that would be hardest to run away from (tele whirlwind, charge etc etc) are most likely going to kill u anyways regardless if u have 1700 or 2k life, 20 dr, or 50 dr)

Is the main purpose just not to get hit? Do I pump dex or pump vit? Does anyone understand where I am coming from?

Go the full dex route... Tanking won't help so much. And i'd have to say that on switch you will need at least a normal titans + whistans or storm. Otherwise you stand no chance vs. a paladin who can charge.

You don't need max dr, max res, or high vita, but what you DO need is speed and damage. Unfortunately I don't think a windforce is appropriate for pvp, but as I'm not playing ladder, you will probably be very dominant if you play well against people of your wealth level.

As for your gear, try and hit the last IAS bp for windforce. I wouldn't use a gaze as you don't really need the dr if you have low life anyways. I'd go with giant skull, fr/w circlet, or andy's visage in that order. Another decent option for armor is treachery, its only 45 ias but it also offers FHR.. and possibly fade, although I guess that won't help you out so much. Then go with Cat's Eye, ravens, and the boots/gloves are customizable. Most ppl opt for either war travelers or goreriders.

You will need as much fr/w as you can get, no joke, if you have under 120% you're dead fish, especially when you don't have a power bow like Faith. If you get enough IAS and still have extra sockets, +30 max damage jools are nice, dunno if those spawn anymore though.

i was thinking along the lines of:

Shako 15 ias jewel
Cat's Eye 20% Ias
Treachery 45% Ias
Crafted Gloves 20% Ias
Nosferatu's Coil 10% Ias
Winforce 40% ias (shael)
Waterwalk
2x Ravenfrost

and having harmony on switch

I could also try to mass r/w charms

also, I remember using titans+ss on switch when i had my other wf zon a long time ago, but i only remember doing that to block incoming arrows and barb WWs. What good is it against a pally charge? Once you're charge locked, you're probably going to die... there no time to switch back to bow if they are that close.
