I am building a pvp firesorc, and I would like suggestions on a few things

my skills:

20 fbolt
20 fball
20 meteor
20 fire mastery
1 warmth
1 teleport

this will leave me with 10-20 extra pts to spend... where should i put them? I could do inferno for extra per second meteor damage or I could try to max hydra as a way to kill tgers :P Suggestions?

my gear:

3/25/-5 fire eschutas
2/20 circlet with other mods OR 5/5 faceted shako
dusk coh
spirit monarch
2x soj
arachnid mesh
magefists
treks
maras OR 2 skill fcr ammy

Can anyone suggest better alternatives?

TIA:thumbsup:

also, what fcr bp will this hit for fball, and can someone suggest reasonable alternatives for hitting the next one without sacraficing too much damage?

i'm in the same predicament, a lvl 90 fire sorc with extra skill points with a goal of creating a 200 fb'er. options i'm considering are to put them into enchant for a melee-sorc (not sure how that woks in pvp), like the guide suggests and put them into frozen armour, and unlikely as it seems hydra

i recently played on NL a very good 200 fb'er using hydra. at first i thought it was lame..but the hydras did cause some damage and allowed the fb'er to tele in and kill me a few times

i dumped all my spare skillpoints in Hydra, but thats a Vit-sosa. an ES sosa is unlikely to have any spare skillpoints anyways.

i'm also a 200% FCR junky. 105 is just dog slow after a spin at 200.

well its really hydra vs inferno for me, which do you think would help more? im pure vit, no block or ES, and i dont think ill hit 200 fcr

Hydra without a shadow of doubt.

its exceedingly rare you'll actually nail someone with a Meteor and peeps tend not to stand in the flames.

ps: you'll probably want a point in Chilling Armour too (unless your getting it phree with a +CA CtA staff or a snowclash)

everyone has cbf in duels and the defence bonus is tiny when my total defence will be about 2k

i dont think its worth the 3 skill points

hydra it is

you want chilling armour coz it blocks stuff.

does it really? didnt know that. what % chance to block?

i used hydra and it works great, especially against chargers and hammerdins that need to get up close. you can even hide 5 hydras in the fire from a few meteors, and they wont know they are there until they run by and get hit.

another great trick is to fill a house with hydras and wait inside. as soon as someone comes in they get stuck in hit recovery and are easily killed. I use firebolt instead of fireball because it is impossible to distinguish between my bolts and the hydras bolts, making it much harder to dodge effectively

hydra has 8 skill points in it atm, with 23 + to fire skills and does 2500 damage. by the time im done gearing it it will do well over 3k. this seems very little, but 5 hydras shooting 3 bolts at once means about 45k potential damage a second

yup, sure does. (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=541218) the %CtB seems to be on the order of ~30%'ish

welcome to my world. i'm currently lvl96, i'll get chilling at 97......

or you could use a snowclash or a CtA in a +chilling armour staff.
