Lightning dmg easy for uber runners to sorb - there will always be one person that you can't kill in the game

My take:
For bowzon, life doesn't really matter. Most people won't have excess to 36x 3%rw/+3 max charms and 9 +13max gc for switch. If you have then go for it.

Javzon is quite satisfying when people die in 1 hit most of the time, but there will always be someone(probably uber runner pally) that has thundergod in his stash and you can't do anything to him. It is also quite cheap, the most expensive item is the griffin.

Why would you need the 45 life if everyone dies in one hit? Besides, the stat you are going to pump after max block is vita... :thumbsup:

For the one person in the game you can't kill, your lightning probably HEALS him anyway. :wave:

umm ur logic is a little funny to me.

you wont kill a lot of pubs one hit, it will take more usually. Survivability > damage on a java. your alrdy doin soo much damage, life is what makes the difference.

People are resisting you usually, you do minimal damage not no damage. Only a few pubs will actually go out of their way to sorb. Notice that if there is a fire sorc then the chances of a pally puting on light sorb gear is a lot less.

Btw how do u categorize type of damage into the pro category? physical damage can be blocked, light can be resisted/sorbed? how are these pros?

I'm agreeing with Tin, there are a lot of problems with your pros and cons.

A Javazon will NOT one-hit characters unless they are badly geared or something. Sure, they do plenty of damage but usually not one-hit kill damage. I don't see what an Uberdin has to do with this...Uberdins stack resistance, they don't sorb, so your damage will still be the same.

Javazons also have Lightning Fury to throw...


I was wondering what your background in PvP is? It seems you don't have much experience other than a few public games, no offense. :/

I said short range not melee as you are implying. Unless of course you are not legit and hit people 2-3 screens away with your lightning ALL the time. In that case you probably can't understand anyway.

First part:
Javazons can run...you do know that right? They also happen to have max block (although it doesn't help against smite) and max DR, so 405 + BO is A LOT against a lot of characters, unless your facing a Hammerdin or something that kills in 1-3 hits.

I don't understand why your so up on smiters, Uber Smiters don't sorb, they stack.

Second part:
What does that have to do with what he said? He was asking why Lightning damage is a pro. Just because Hell gives -100 resist all doesn't make Lightning damage a good thing. Any serious dueler will have at least near max resist all in hell, and most characters stack highest on Lightning anyways.

I have a slight clue on how to play a java. I do not fc. When you pvp with a java you will be using lb far more than charged strike.

Lightning damage is a con, not a pro. Also, javazons can go long range too.



But bowzons aren't typically good pubbers, since a lot of the time it's you against a team. Bowzons work well IN a team, but if they're against a team that has any clue, you be in trouble. Which might explain why pubbie bowzons camp the town all day long... ;O
