View Full Version : Best way to gear up act3 merc?

well im currently working on an budget pure cs hammerdin with a3 cold merc. im not an expert with palas :rolleyes:

merc isnt really needed but lawbringer has an nice aura so a3 merc can be quite useful.. the real question is this:

should i got for

Kiras
Guardian angel
Storm shield (or other nice stats shield)
or

Random + skills helm (harle would be nice..)
Viper
Spirit

should i just go for the mercs survuval or for the dmg/castrate route? anything helpful would be apriciated!

nightwing would add a lot of damage - dual spirits for sword and shield and coh or cold ormus would get a ton of damage output

Keyword I saw was budget. Therefore something like CoH ain't really "budget". Both set-ups of what you listed would go over quite well.

The things I would go for are FCR. Honestly, I wouldn't expect him to do any significant damage so any plus skills wouldn't really matter too much. He is there for the freeze and Sanctuary aura. So I'd go for the faster casting with some survivability.

Weapon - Lawbringer
Armor - Viper
Sheild - Eth Spirit, I don't think there str bonus is high. If not, try a Lidless
Helm - Use to fill in whatever he need. Kira's is nice, maybe a Rockstopper?

That on a reasonable budget. Welfare is the following:

Weapon - Spirit
Armor - Stealth
Shield - Splendor
Helm - Lore

Oh, and unless you are teleporting him around, FRW helps him stay close, so something like Stealth and Peasant Crown are nice.

thanks for the reply. im gona go for the fcr/res combo.. and i can always change it in long run if needed :thumbsup:
