Weapon on a Zealot?

Well, I'd like to know what weapon I should use for my zealot (endgame) so I know how many points to invest in str/dex

As a general rule I dont want to spend more than mal (and this is really max) on my weapon, and I still want it to effectively dispose of whatever hell can throw at me :)

Here are some weapons I thought might be effective

Stormlash (CB!)
Baranar's Star
Nord's Tenderizer
Djinn Slayer
Bloodmoon
Lightsabre
Azurewrath (Really really nice, think I can get one for Mal on the new ladder?)
Heaven's Light (No idea how expensive this one is, please inform me)
The Redeemer (Same as above)
Astreon's iron Ward (Same as above)

If you're on ladder right now you can get a damn nice death cleaver (non eth) for a mal.

I'd say a stormlash is the best of the lot in that selection there. Another good one is the Crescent Moon runeword, just make sure you make it in a non superior cryptic sword, the damage is too low of it's made in a phase blade.
Oath would, of course make a great weapon, i'd also suggest a cryptic sword for that, just because I love the look of them but that's slightly more expensive than a mal.

@inane Not sure of what a death cleaver is, since I havnt played paladins a lot (except hammerdins, but that wont help me i guess^^)

@Veilside Okay, i'll check oath.. Crescent moon consists of Um and two craprunes, right? i'll check that one too.

As you can see, a pretty useful weapon, the low ed means you should stick it in a reasonably well damaging weapon, a phaseblade won't cut it for late hell gaming, make sure you stick in a non superior weapon to minimise the repair costs.

As you can see, oath is quite a bit more expensive but the high ed and indestructible mod really make up for it, the high ias also means it can be made in slightly slower, higher damaging base weapons.

Death cleaver is also pretty awesome, i'd still take a 'lash over it though if I had the option.

IMO lawbringer just won't cut it, the elemental damage is very low and there's no %ed to speak of, useful for mercs to provide decrep and the sanctuary aura, otherwise it isn't of much use.

Well if yur playing ladder then Hr runes are kinda expensive, id say a good affordable weapon for a Zealer right now is either Heavens light, Oath, Crescent Moon.

I would say Oath as well, as I have doubts on whether people will part with their stormlash for a "mere" Mal. I would stay away from zerkers though as it can be difficult to find an eth one with 4 sockets, and you are better off trading it if you find a white one.

I would say etheral cryptic or conquest sword, as Larzuk will automatically give 4 sockets. You need another 10 IAS for conquest sword to reach max zeal, while you need no further IAS for cryptic. Small crescent can work too, though you need another 40 IAS.

This assumes that you are running lvl 20 fanaticism. If you are using another aura (ex. holy shock), everything changes.

However, with skills I will have atleast 25-28 fana, or so i hope, will that be enough to provide the extra 10% IAS?
