Loader doesn't work??

I just downloaded d2xmusic.mpq and d2xvideo.mpq from two different internet links, and I placed them both into my main Diablo II directory (the folder named (Diablo II). I then extracted Diablo II.exe into the directory, and changed the name of the real diablo to somehing else. I have both the .mpq files necessary + the original .mpq files like talk, char, etc. on the directory. But when I try running Diablo II (the loader copy), it says :

"Couldn't load Diablo II MPQ files. Please insert your Diablo II CD."

Can someone tell me what I did wrong?? Thanks in Advance.

Likely because you did not use a legit store bought copy of the game/it's files.

You never know what you are getting from some internet DL link.

Ahh I see.. Thanks a lot..
The problem is my CD is broken and that's why I'm trying to find all these alternate methods to play... I don't want to lose the high ladder stuff I have this season so far :( Can anyone help me get the mpq files through msn or something>?

Blizzard will replace your disk for a small fee...
