Is there a debate between GriefZ + Beast Z vs Ebotd Poleaxe before?

cause I was thinking the range 5 could help a lot between range and distances in duels, what do you guys think? Is damage worth sacrificing for more range?

My friend tested out a BvC using a range 5 weapon. It wasn't that impressive. Besides dual wielding > 2 hander in terms of damage anyways.

Not to mention the fact that the range is pretty much useless in 95% of all duels. The only few where it could help is versus Smiters, WWsins and maybe other barbarians. But let's see, WWsins aren't that hard, Smiters are much easier with dual-wield and other barbarians will slay anyone without a shield.

The reason for the uselessness of the range is simple: versus all casters with the exception of a hammerdin, you are doing tight triwhirls, meaning you are always in range, making any extra range useless.

Well, extra range is nice because it you can get a bit sloppier when tele-whirling. But using a 2 hander means you lose all the good mods from grief/beast and end up doing considerably less damage.
