Secret Cow level

Hi.
I have a question about cow lvl. From what i know this lvl can be open by char that killed baal on coresponding lvl and if during the game cow king dies quest is done and portal can not be open again on that lvl by char.
From my experience i know that it's easy to kill cow king by mistake or on purpose, so i thought about way to avoid this situation.
If the cow lvl is open by char A, after that char A leaves the game and char B joins the game and enter the portal. During the game king dies.
Question is: will this cause "no more cow lvl" for char A or B or both?
Please take under consideration variant that char B killed baal on that lvl and that char B didn't completed baal quest.

For neither. Because the portal-creator has left the game. And it''s not about who killed the King, but which party did and who of that party was in the vicinity.

So in this case it's safe to open portal with char that will leave the game and than enter game with other char and kill'em all :)
And than repeat it forever :jig:

In this case, char B will no longer be able to open the cow level, but that char will still be able to enter the cow level.


If the player that kills the king has not yet killed the king, then all players in the cow level who have not yet killed the king will get credit for killing the king and no longer be able to open the cow level. Being partied doesn't matter. The opener remaining in the game doesn't matter.

If the player that kills the king had previously gotten credit for killing the king (can no longer create the cow level), then no one in the game is affected in the slightest.

i am a bit confused so to make things clear: the char that makes game, open portal and left game is not affected by the death of king and can open another portal in another game. Am i right? Must be sure to have one char that is able to open cow lvl on hell:)

If you aren't in the game, you can't get the quest....ever...for any quest.

You don't even have to leave the game, just don't be in the secret cow level when he dies.

Simply put: When the king is killed by someone who hasn't gotten the quest, anyone in the cow level, partied or not, will get the quest. Everyone else is safe.

One of the conclusions is that if you kill the king yourself, you won't be able to open the portal anymore.

Moo! All the pesky details concerning the rules for killing the Cow King and all the circumstances for which one may kill the king without ruining the quest flag for others. While this guide was written with D2Classic players in mind, the same rules apply to LOD (just substitute Baal for Diablo).

...To take a party members TP (blue) you need to kill Diablo in that lev game.

Just remember that that guide was written for classic players, in xp just substitude diablo for baal.
