Hey all. Thanks for the assistance late on. I started at level 33 gained 4 levels rather quickly with you guys. Went wondering solo in Nightmare a bit and then decided to complete the quests in Normal that I forgotten to do. I'm glad I did as they were the Den of Evil, the figurine and the Lan's tome! Still got Nomal Forge to do I'll have on to any runes. Nightmare countess dropped me a Nef. A bad evening on the whole for drops.
Now at Level 40, in two more levels I get use my aldurs and then I will be back to my original equipment that Tasty passed down before his demise.
Oh yeah and thanks for the dual spirits! Holy Shield feels rather nice now. Promise not to lose them.
Will probably be back on tonight for some more early nightmare loving.

Phew, luckily I didnīt miss to much. I was pretty annoyed when I came home half an hour late for KTA and my wife told me that we needed to visit her mother. *cursing Barb driving a car to a location he didnīt want to visit* When we came home, half an hour of the usual playtime was left and I didnīt really feel like turning the PC on. Up to Level 53 now so looking good for next Monday. Items of interest include a +2 passive skills Amu for Amazon, Bonesnap if our baba needs it (have we got any crushing blow?) and a Pul rune from my Nightmare Forge quest which I will add to the kitty. Got some more Pgems and other runes which I'll drop off on Monday.
I must say soloing the Chaos Sanctuary was funny. All I kept thinking was I must not die with Ivans' spirits on me. Diablo himself was a walk in the park. Up to A5 Q2 now.

and the bonesnap... that will moost likely ROCK on our barb... specialy upped (wich is not that expensive i believe).
as for pul... we didnt have that 1 yet... did we? what would be best use for it?

Nope, no Pul yet. This is our best rune find so far.
Dunno too much about runewords, I do know that Lum + Pul ups a unique weapon from exceptional to elite... Perhaps an idea for the Steeldriver? Dunno if upping a weapon justifies the cost though at the moment, but if he gets some CB from elsewhere that will make one nasty weapon I think.
I just don't know what would be a reachable runeword with a Pul.
By the way, we do have some CB. Our assa is wearing a Rattlecage since last Monday's session. More is always good though :)

upping the bonesnap aint worth it... the difference between normal and exeptional is pretty good... but upping once more makes not such a big difference.
then... extra crushing blow shouldnt go on a bonesnap using character since its a very slow weapon. chrusing blow needs to be dealth with a real fast attack... like zeal or better still ... Kicks.
but then again... an upped bonesnap (1 time) is a terrifying weapon in itselve... IF used with the right skill. I made a charger last KTA session who ended up wieling one... and he was fantastic! good skills to use it with are skills that provide huge %ed. thats why charge or leap attack works so supurb with it. and thats why berserk will work just as fine :thumbsup:
I was suggesting to up the Steeldriver that we already upped once, not the Bonesnap :)
If you get some CB on a zerker with that 40% IAS, base speed 20 weapon, that would be rather nice, methinks. But expensive yeah... That would kill 1 Smoke and vaporize our Pul.
Probably upping a weap is not the way to go at all. Just go for two Smokes with the Lum's and check the Runeword list for whatever useful we can find for the Pul.

I don't quite know how to say this. Disaster has struck again and it's all Aston Villas' fault. Was listening to the radio today of the Aston Villa v West Ham match and when Gardener scored I hit my keyboard in frustration. I hit the windows key which proved fatal as I was just about to take on Frozenstein and his friends.
Stared at my desktop for a split second, panicked and then hit the reset button on my PC. It was too late. Deeds.
I actually felt sick. When I restarted the Deedsmaster got his deeds. Ivan I've lost your spirits. I am going to retire from this rounds KTA. It's taken me a few hours to get over this. Admittedly I now see the funny side and intend to get rip roaring drunk this evening with some friends tonight.
I'll drop off everything that I have on my KTA mule which includes the Pul and Bonesnap on Monday night if I'm back in time.

Ouch, I can feel your frustation. In one of the former KTAs I died aswell, tried to catch up and norm Dia stopped me in my first try, while some combination of archers and ghosts in nm stopped my second attempt. Wasnīt it you, who was carrying the Insight?
MrKaxe I hope your trip to Egypt is pleasure and not business. Spent two weeks touring around it many years ago and it is still the best and most fascinating holiday I've had. The local beer is called Stella but not as we know it and the local driving is rather bonkers.
Supposed to be pleasure but it wasn't that pleasurable! It had it's good points but the bad mostly outweighed them so unless you really want to go and see the Pyramids, Sphinx, Cairo etc in real life i don't recommend a holiday there! Stella was nice, Luxor was what i mostly drank as the bloody hotel ran out of Stella for the whole week! Oh hell yes about traffic...especially in Cairo...they make thier own lanes!
Very sad to see you go dude, it was a comedy of errors that happened to you and i think the team could sort you out again but if you really can't do it again then we shall definately see you next run!
Another piece of bad news, the internet didn't get sorted out while i was in Egypt and as i am moving into my new place I won't have time to sort that out but i will be sorting out a fresh, new, better connection at my new place, but that means i might not be on for a week or two as there is no existing line there so they will have to fit a new one etc etc :cry:
Don't get me wrong, i'm still in this sesh of KTA and i will try to get on ASAP but it might take a while; depending on what the rest of the group wants to do i'm in for any decision but i will check the thread (at work!) for news and to keep you lot posted

Update/Bump!
I have organised for the line (8-meg line for a fiver deal if for some reason they won't do me 2-meg for free as i'm buying a SKY package with it for discounts left, right and centre!) to be fitted in my new place for the (earliest they could) Monday the 15th coming, so i will buy a spanky new computer desk for my new 'Den' this weekend and set it all up ready for when the connection gets set up...depending on if it all works correctly i should be on that night for the KTA session but i wouldn't be surprised if **** happened as it inevitably does...long story short...i will miss tonight and 50/50miss next week but back for sure as of the 22nd October...

We may have to do a merc check tonight as well. I don't know if Tasty's merc was an aura merc as well, but if so, we're two auras short.

so hi all!
yesterday evening we were with 4 in total, being our necro, our singer, our healer pally and me, the light sorc.
we first needed to get our singer up to speed, needing anya, the ancients and baal still. i thought we would be in for a bit of hard fighting... but the opposite was true. the team was actualy quite efficient still. so let me tell ya how it went usualy:
we would play in a very tight pack, with the barb just a little bit ahead. once he encounterd something melee he inmediately stunned it, while all ranged attackers would be either taunted or cursed with dim vision. then minions started to hack away, and especialy my lighting made short work of the group... and once the first bodys became available CE ended it all VERY quickly. in the mean time noone ever came into danger, being constantly healed with auras and holy bolt. only nasty buggers proved out to be light immume souls, at least that what we thought at first. but holy bolt makes short work of those as well.
we made 2 baalruns, and then proceeded into hell. where we ended up killing the countess (for el).
we had a great night if you ask me, and it was certainly a pleasure to have the BO back again. lets hope more can make it next week, as more people = more fun.

Had some good fun indeed. Not too easy to be boring, but fast enough to be enjoyable.
I had 1 close call with some weird lightning dealing bosspack in the cellars, but enough juvies to spare.
After the session I created an Ancient's Pledge from the 3os Ancient Shield I found. Lost some skills there, but not by much. I had to dump some points in strength, but I like a little strength on my necro anyway.
Still wearing a 4ptopaz low def armor, but most of the other MF gear has been switched for resists, so I should be out of the reds now on Hell diff.

Update/Bump! (Does anyone care?! :shocked: )
I have managed to shift the appointments around for the phone line and broadband installations (Thursday for phone and Saturday for SKY/BB) so all going well i should be on for next Monday...if for some reason it all goes to pot (fingers crossed it doesn't) with the appointments again i won't be on until the week after as said before so wish me luck guys...hope they don't ring me again to cancel/re-arrange!

Oooh...errr...i think we were NM Baalrunning or that could be my imagination...i think the fastest way of finding out is asking oOmpie what the last set of screenies i emailed him were then i'll know what gate i have past :laugh:
In regards to help, i would be screwed in the Frozen River (if i needed Anya) due to the huge amount of Cold Immunes and i'd really need an Insight as my mana runs out after 4-5 shots :shocked: ...makes me wonder whether or not i should start pumping NRG but i have been pumping Dex in the hope we come across a decent bow so i can use the Phys portion of it...i'll have to see...but i digress, help would very much be needed but it would have to be as of the Monday's session of KTA :undecided:

Good sum up, Tika. It was indeed a nice evening and we were rolling without much trouble. Since I missed two weeks, Iīm still the low-level of the group, nevertheless as a Barb, I donīt have issues with this. I thought I would suffer from crappy resis in hell, but changing rings and armor brought me back to business. 80/66/80/50 with 3.2 k life feels pretty confortable and I enjoy being the frontrunner. :smiley:
Good to hear you guys had fun. i wasnt able to come though. What character levelas are you guys now roughly?
iirc I'm the highest lvl char atm at lvl 74 and we just disposed of the Hell countess...
MrKaxe: I have a Magewrath in stash for you. Dunno if it's any good but at least it has manaleech. Last screens I got from you were NM Diablo.

My medic is not much use on the offensive in act 1 hell!
He heals mostly the mercs as they are front fighters to combat FE!
May post skill levels when I get a second - the loss of drinkturps and his aura has been felt (he covered other parts of the skill tree too!)
Would be good to get MrKaxe back in the team for more kickass firepower - our sorc tends to "rain the pain" and then all goes boom with CE! ;-D

I guess i need all of Act 5 NM although i swear we whooped on the Ancients as i seem to remember taking one on solo as he was cold and my valk was wailing on him...oh well...have to wait and see! Thx for the Mage btw oOmpie, the Phys dmg can't be any lower than Wizendraw's but i might miss the -% Enemy Cold Res but the Leech will be most helpful...have to weigh up the Pro's n Con's...

I'll have to watch my rate of fire seeing as CE has been owning and me shattering corpses won't help...think i'll control the crowd with an FA then do some Strafing (with what little damage it will do) with some Decoy's thrown in for good measure just so the crowd stays distracted/frozen while you lot do what you have been doing!
We may have whacked the Ancients already, but I have no screenies of it. Most recent screens I have is Dia getting pw33ned.
CE is one of our main baddy disposing skills at the moment, yeah.
Last couple of sessions we were a couple chars short and we've been relying a lot on Tika to get some kills (or Ivan in case of undeads) going after which CE (combined with ridiculous Amp radius :p) emptied the screen. In case of PI's a pretty lvl 10 Lower Resist does the trick.
So perhaps a shift towards a more strafe-oriented zon would be preferrable. Cold-based crowd control is always helpful though. We'll just see how it goes, methinks :)

Hello guys, sorry for being absent for 2 weeks without notice. Last week, well, let's just say I didn't really feel that well at all, didn't get infront of the computer at all that day.
Now for this week, and probably all upcoming... I've got a little problem. You remember I borrowed the CDs of a friend so I could play with you all? He's got them back now since he wanted to play some, so I've got no idea if and when I'll be able to play again :cry:

Perhaps if there really is no way you are going to be able to play anytime soon and Suicidal is on his own account you can send drinkturps (IF he feels like it, dunno) the account username/password for Suicidal so he can keep it lvl with the team?
That's a really good idea oOmpie! I think that will be the best way of keeping that char (and drinkturps) in the game either permanently or until Masa gets off his *** and buys some disks!
I might have miscalculated my internet by the by guys; the engineer is coming to fit the SKY television on Saturday and the broadband's router will come in the post...we are just out the other side of a postal strike down my way so i doubt it will be posted this week (as it was supposed to be) ready for Monday...i'm gonna call them now and see if it has, or when it will be, dispatched by post...
EDIT: After the installation Saturday, they told me to call them Monday to arrange the broadband and they will send the router out immediately but she also said with the postal strikes going on they haven't had mail up there way for two weeks! It has just ended though so i might get lucky but it still looks like i will be back for the 22nd as previously said...
I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya, but realistically that will mean it's gonna be the 22nd yeah. Cya then, bud!

Well,
I guess that spelled the end of the current KTA session.
Tonight we lost our second pally as he mispressed a button and charged into the fray instead of popping a health pot...
Up to that moment we were doing pretty ok-ish. Progress was slow but steady as the four of us (light sorc, kicksin, medic pally and sploder necro) cautiously hacked our way towards Andy.
Then all of a sudden... deeds...
Since Ivan was one of the most reliable persons in the team and the three of us couldn't hope to make any progress without an Insight we dropped out and started thinking about which way to go.
We then basically decided to start over in a new session... Saves MrKaxe (and the others that fell behind, be it less far) a lot of catching up and we can fill the blanks in the team again with fresh characters.
We have been thinking about a theme and all will be posted tomorrow or so in a new KTA thread.

MEDIC DOWN MEDIC DOWN!!
The medic is no more - for the people who were not on....
In the Jail (lvl 2 I think) he came up against a few bad people inhabiting a doorway and they were making loud noises and started slagging off Partyboomers mother which upset our brave pally! and in the battle fueled haze (cleaning up the current room) to reach his Number 1 key for health his handler mashed the F1 key and FOH turned into charge - needless to say he then went flying in the doorway to sort the chaps out who bad mouthed members of the KTA team, the medic unable to stick plasters to himself in time - got laid out as he was a bit of a soft touch in a scrap. Staring in amazement at the screen the handler started screaming and said keyboard went flying, even the drink on the desk was in danger of going the same way.
So ends Mr Medic............. the team did have a general chin wag after that and decided that a new start could be made - The general idea based around "Team Speed" characters who may not do the most massive damage but who are incredibly fast.
EDIT** - Just touching on the subject above others will explain in more detail! **
RoyalFlush is now RIP - He goes to share a cloud with Deedsmaster amongst others!
My psychic tells me he now has his dual Spirits back but they are now Ethereal! ;-D

well... it sure was a sad evening yesterday... we were doing OKish... as long as thigs werent light immume... otherwise it was already a bit harder.
i will poost a new KTA thread this day,probably in an hour or 2~3, gotta do some work stuff first now.
to warm people up a bit already: it will indeed be a speed team, not so much by traveling very fast, but by hitting as much and as fast as we can. more details to follow.
of cource current KTA members get first chance to join, but if spaces remain free newcomers are invited to join!

Shocker, I've not been on for two weeks and I've dropped sandwich filling on my keyboard reading about the Medics demise. Part of me feels responsible for Ivans deeds after losing his dual spirits to Aston Villa FC (another sorry mess). We've not had much luck with Pallies.
I also bear even worse news, my KTA mule for the current session has expired along with the Pul rune and the Bonesnap and other bits and bobs I had saved up for you all. I should have permed him but I've simply not been on the realms.
If you decide to start again with a new team then I will happily join in. I think I will make a KTA account for the new session and if for whatever reason I cannot make a session someone else can always have a chance.
Get signed up in the new thread and we'll be rolling again next week, hurrah :D

Oh crap. I coulnīt make due to some spontanious holiday. So the current KTA session is over? Well alone Soundcheck wonīt go anywhere, as he is only trained in the arts of receiving hits without struggeling to much.
I canīt make it tonight aswell ( two favorite football teams of my collegues at work play each other and we all wanted to watch this event in a pub ), but if you come up with an inspiring theme I would catch up ( any char can do normal ) and hop in next week.
check out our other thread McCain123, we got a whopping theme... and we will know after tonight wether or not we still got space.
