Starting again..

I gave up Diablo to concertrate on my GCSEs 2 years ago, and never got round to installing and playing it again. Until yesterday when i quit my job and realised i had 10 days of nothing to do.

Im not a level 62 Fire sorc with Maxed out Firewall and Fire mastery and 18 warmth.

Anyways, seing as ive been out the loop ive got a few questions to ask.

1. Rushing has obviously been eliminated, so what is the best level to leave NM after baal runs and where should i go xp'n after that?

2. What are these 'Uber' runs i heard about.

3. Wheres best place for a sorc with 3k firewall to MF? NM Meph?

1.) between 60 and 75 You're call. I usually leave at 65ish but I don't know how well you'll fare in hell with pure firewall.
2.) Check this out. I didn't actually read it all but it looks at a glance like an accurate explanation.
3.) Andariel is weak to fire in all difficulties. Exploit that.

To be fair, i didnt give it much thought as i hadnt played in ages and just wanted to get a MF sorc going.

Not sure what you're talking about but rushing hasn't been eliminated. For act 3 you only have to kill travincal, talk to cain, and get the wp to durance to proceed. To bypass the ancients level requirement (20 for normal, 40 for NM), you simply need to be partied with someone who is in the chamber and who needs and gets the baal quest and standing in act 5. If they get the quest, you will too.

I think 'eliminated' was the wrong word. Its just been made a bigger pain in the arse and you cant just sit your char in Hell cows till hes lvl 80 odd. :)

Ah, well it definitely takes a bit more effort now. By the way, I thought I should mention that another way to circumvent the ancients issue is to do your rushes in classic up to hell act 3 and then convert the mules/characters for leveling and forges.
