Pindleskin runs - through the portal?

I've heard of people running pindleskin by simply going through the red portal anya makes and killing him, but I was wondering how you do this after you've completed the quest? I read that the portal will close once you grab the waypoint in the halls of pain. So does that mean you could just never grab the wp and the portal would always be there for you to jump through and kill pindleskin, or does it close automatically once you finish the quest?

It closes when you get Q and the WP iirc. Doing either of those leaves it open for Pindle. But you have a separate keyrunner for the (closed) WP run to Nihl, right? Your MF-er shouldn't venture further than Pindle.

Yep, the most efficient form of mfing and key running is to have separate builds for each. The former is heavily loaded with mf gear (I recommend a summonancer or a sorce (they generally all work well)), and the best key runner is, in my opinion, a hammerdin with enigma. You can do it pretty well with a pure light sorc, but they're definitely more fragile.
