Im getting a weird message, Am I banned?

So I was playing diablo 2 and I clicked the save and exit button to leave the room and head back to the lobby area to look for a new game.

Well when I exited. It whent all the way back to were you have to put your username and password in. I was like ok this is weird.

Well I put my password in and hit enter and this is the message I got.

Your connection has been temporarily disabled from this realm, Please try again or try a new realm.

And when this happend I was talking to my friend on the phone who was playing and he said hes playing fine. So wtf does this message mean? Anyone ever have this happen to them? Will I be fine in an hour or something?

Ive had this happen to me before. All you usually need to do is give it about 5 -10 minutes then try and sign in again and it should work.

it's called a realm down aka temp ban.

you get this msg if you switch between character alot or joined alot of games in a short time.

it can last any where from mintues to hours to days.
however, if your ip address is non static, all you do is unpulg ur modem and reconnect.

but if you got a static ip like mine, u got to wait until ur ip is clear.

Those suck awfully! They happen to everyone, though. What I do when muling is to be sure and spend a good 30 seconds or so in the game with each character. You can also try talking to Charsi, buying a hat and selling it to her again, repairing, etc... Seems like I read once that little things like that will help avoid temp bans as they're not what bots would typically do (the temp ban is meant to curb bot use that clogs the servers).
