View Full Version : Returning to D2 - Questions.
1. Is there a certain time and game limit on how many games you can create in succession? I've heard you can get banned for botting if you keep creating games too fast. I'm running countess so I'm curious if I should stop.
2. Some kid kept cursing and flamed a baal game I was in. I asked him to manner up, and then my screen started "jumping" like I was changing area. He asked me if my eyes hurt. What's that? Some lame hack? Shame it can be done.
3. Is it possible to kill someone in town? My mate died at chest in Act 2.
Thanks in advance!
Welcome to the forum Curik

Generally, just wait a few seconds between game creation and character switching. For countess it probably wouldn't be much of an issue as it'd take you abit of time to get there, but if you were doing something like pindleruns continually then that's a pretty good way to get a temp ban. If you're worried about a temp ban, you could extend your countess runs slightly to include other easy to reach bosses, such as pindle and eldritch.
The bans are mostly temporary, but can last anywhere up to hours (for some people, even days) so it's better to avoid them completely.

I've never heard of the screen thing before.
I have, however, heard a fair amount of reports of hacks that allow people to kill other people in town, but they're not exactly widespread. I generally ignore pub games on hardcore for this particular reason, but I have been in alot regardless and I haven't seen anything personally, but I definately do not rule it out. You'd be suprised how low some people on bnet can sink, and I doubt any have actually hit the bottom.
Generally, I'd recommend that unless you know the person personally, then you should be on your guard when on battle.net. You should find people from this forum to be more reliable too. :wink3:
Thanks a ton, encouraging words! :)
Aye, extending my runs with eldritch and the Shenk dude.
Nice day to you.
