What is the maximum BO/shout you can reach? & HOW?

Hi I was wondering what the maximum BO/Shout you can reach with a Barbarian. I was in a duel game and I saw a Barbarian with 52 BO/Shout. It was crazy!!!! I was wondering how that person reached such a high level of BO/Shout.

What is the maximum "legit" amount of BO/Shout a barbarian could have?
How can you get that maximum "legit" amount of BO/Shout?

Thanks! But can you specify the BO helm and the amulet? Also instead of 2 warcry weapons could I duel wield 2 perfect call to arms?

Bo helm is a 'delirium' RW in a barbarian helm that has +3 bo on it alread, the amulet is a +3 warcries magical amu, I think i's called echoing.

Why you don't use double cta's (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=301690)

Optiumum is to use 1 cta(give +4 to bo) with 3 or some to bo, and 1 echoing weapon(or hoto)

The list Barloc made looks accurate, but if you substitute one of the +3wc weapons for a 3BO CTA, your Battle Orders will be level 54 instead of level 53. But doing that will decrease your Shout from level 52 to level 50.

I prefer to use dual Hoto for that reason. Having 2-3k higher defense is better than an extra 60-80 points of life in my opinion. :thumbsup:

My gear is usually (For BO/WW setup):
Helm: +3BO/+2Shout Delirium (adds +2skills so +5BO/+4Shout total)
Armor: Enigma (+2skills)
Belt: Arach (+1skills, 20fcr)
Rings: 2x Bul Katho's
Amulet: +3Warcry/10fcr
Gloves: Dracul's Grasp or Trang 'Oul's (depending if I want the fcr)
Boots: Marrowwalks (for dex)
Weapons: 2x Colossus Blades or 2x Berzerker Axes (Runewords vary, but usually includes a Grief or Lastwish)
Switch: 2x Hoto (or as mentioned Hoto/+3BO CTA) - (also 40fcr from each Hoto)
Grand Charms: 9x Warcry Lifers (33+)
Small Charms: 8x 20life/ar or 20life/all res
Torch: 20stat/15+res
Annihilus: 20stat/15+res/8+exp

So...+32BO from gear plus level 20skill equals level 52BO (level 53BO after Battle Command using dual Hoto), or level 54BO after Battle Command with a Hoto/+3BO CTA equipped. :grin:

I honestly don't see why a hoto would be better than a +3 echoing weapon hat can be shopped for by ease? It's only wasting a vex that ciuld be spent elsewere, imo.

I'm also impressed with your barb, I never though anyone would actually pursue a level 50+ bo :laugh:

The +3warcry weapons you speak of work just as well, but I like the Hoto's for the 40fcr/all resistance each give (besides BOing, I also use them when teleporting). :grin:


As an addition to my last post, it is possible to find a magic +6BO helm, which would make the max Battle Orders level 55 after using Battle Command. :grin:

But using something like that would only decrease the Shout level further (by four, I think, upon removing the Delirium making the Shout level 46 if the Hoto/+3BO CTA was used). :tongue:

2 x wc weapons probably your best/only choice sp. If you use daggers or war swords, those are nice if you want to swap them out for alternative gear with limited stash space.

I'd say, even if I could use 2 hoto which I can't due to loosing 60str on switch, I'd rather go with 2x dooms. I'd rather loose 2 to warcries for a pair of weapons that are actually very useful- to me anyway.

Hmm, even though runes are hard to find it's not impossible, I got 1 hoto at least :wink3:, but yeah, without needing some teleswitch for enigma, I don't see a point to use hoto over echoing weapons. Also, you can have them on switch, no eed to have them in your inventory. My ik barb use(d) 2 +3 echo java's on switch.

Why would you want 2 dooms? I could see the hf aura being useful from time to time, but 2 dooms is probably the most wasted/expensive bo-switch I ever heard of :wink3:

I'm unsure if +2 wc's can me a staffmod on a non-magical/rare barbhelm. I'm not sure either though.

No... skill trees only spawn on white Amazon class weapons. All other staffmods are a specific skill.

I'm not sure, but wouldn't helms like that only get two sockets anyway?

im almost sure ive seen a 7 bo delerium up for trade on East... maybe im just mixing it up with somethign else though

I already improved my BO and Shout to 40 by just changing a few stuff here and there.
