You can not take it back from the socket, but you can empty the socket using the cube recipe: Hel rune + town portal scroll + items ya want cleaned .

sorry for the waste of a r facet! Only thing you can do is take it out with hel, town portal scroll recipie and hope your ali baba helps you find a new one!
