OK, here is the error. I've been playing Diablo 2 for over 2 weeks now without problem... But today when I tried to log on battle.net again, I get the error (see screenshot) I posted. It is weird, for my modem and internet is working fine, I can access the internet and so on, and I've also tried reinstalling the game + addon but it didn't work. I have both Diablo 2 + LoD retail versions, which I paid for, so its no pirate software here. I have gateway Europe selected, and i press Battle.net, and this shows up. I'm desparate to play, please help me. :sad2: I also tried browsing blizzard support, but find no solution.

-note: the version is 1.07 because of the reinstall I tried, because this error wont even let me patch.

Okay, now nearly 24 hours are passed since I first got this error. I looked up on some older threads regarding this matter aswell, and it all points to a temporary (?) ban. I have no friggin idea WHY would I get banned, as I had no mods, no cheats, no whatsoever programs installed, but the Diablo 2 and addon with ORIGINAL keys, bought at store. Now I guess I'll just have to wait for this "ban" to stop. How long will this take? I read for some guy it took like 2 week, and there's no way I'm gonna wait that long because of something I didn't commit... Also, I read that if you try to login, the ban extends. What the hell? How can I then know when the ban will stop, if I dont try to log in once in a while? Stupid. Should I just check after a month, only to find out that it's been lifted after 2 days? Screw this.

I'm not sure exatly what the issue is but you could try to contact blizzard at customer support.

As far as adding on time for checking, I think that is generally in regards to repeatedly checking to see if you can log on, as if the action was being performed by a bot. Checking every day to see if you can access battlenet shouldn't be a problem.

How to contact blizzard support? Anyway, I doubt it would work...

That should include most of your available contact options.

Usually, temporary bans don't last very long if you are only doing things like fast muling or quick mf runs. I think 2 days is usually the max on these, but don't quote me. I'm also pretty sure that when you are temporarily restricted it tells you so, so I'm almost thinking that's not it.
