A3 Q1 - Unique wont drop Golden Bird

Title says it all. I think my merc killed a unique while the bird was over water. No GB was present as I went though the loot. I quit and reloaded, and changed acts, found another unique pack, killed over land, but still no bird. Am I screwed? I play HC SP, and this is with a BBaller, so the life is really important.

PS - Two things... First, I changed Diff levels (NM to Norm then NM again), and the first unique I dropped gave me the - second thing - "Jade Figurine." Was my change of Diff lvls the thing that fixed everything?

If I remember correctly it's not the first boss pack that you kill in act 3 that drops it. I think each time you kill one there's a % chance that the figurine will drop. I might be wrong though :laugh: .

try killing the council, 2-3 uniques in that pack
its generaly the first or second uniqe that spawns that will drop the Jade Figurine

then talk to Cain, Meshif, then Alkor twice

Correct. I don't know the percentage but one time I was on hell I killed at least 10 bosspacks before it dropped. If you are unlucky, you might have to rerun areas in the act to kill more bosses to get it.

@Dudspud: Just continue killing bosses in any area in act 3 and it should drop eventually. Shouldn't take more than 5 bosses normally.

yeah its not the first unique you kill...but i generally kill the council a few times...and voila...good luck...just give it a few more goes...

make a trip to the ruined temple for the esen lam quest...maybe on route you will get the GB
