I'm making an orb mfer on classic for hell meph. What should I wear and what should I use for gear? How much pts on the stats do i need? What skills should i add to after im done with orb, mastery and the synergies? thanks for the help

If you're going for Hell Meph alone, you may want to max teleport after you have you Orb set up for lower mana cost, since Classic doesn't allow mercs(no Insight). Also some points in Static may help you to get his HP lower, as you won't have a truckload of +skills like you do in LoD. As for equipment, I can suggest Spectral Shard+Magefist to hit 70 FCR needed for safe teleporting. A good 30/20 Spiked Shield with resists paired with Twitchthroe, if you want block/FHR. Rares will make up for the rest of your build, with jewelry used for resists and mana, and boots/belt for resists/Fast Hit Recovery and if possible, Life.
as for Stats:
Str: enough to wear your highest piece of equipment(prob around 40-50, no more)
Dex: 51 for Shard (you don't use dex for block in Classic)
Ene: none, if you invest in teleport
Vit: all the rest
Consider, that if you wear Twitchthroe, it gives +10 to Str and Dex.
