View Full Version : LOD Cd key denied.

Hey, so I decided to start playing diablo lod again. And everything was going fine, until I tried installing LOD and my cd key wouldn't work. Is there a particular reason for this? It's old, but it should still work, right? I'd appreciate a response as soon as possible as I was pretty pumped to play today. Thanks.

you bought it new in the store ?
got in from a friend ?
a froend borrowed it earlier ?
whats the message you get ?
and so on
tell us something more than "it doesnt work"

No, it's not new, I've owned the game for years.
It's been mine for all that time.
Friend has never borowed it.

I'm not sure exactly what the message is, but it's something along the lines of "You're Cd-key is invalid, make sure you have entered it correctly"

Though I'm pretty sure you did... see if you've entered it properly. Maybe some letters got scratched off..

Yeah I did for sure.

I'm reading about it on the net, and it seems my only choice is a keygen. I don't want to use those, as blizzard might catch on, and they might be a risk to my computer. Think I might have to buy another copy?

first try other variants of the key, O/0, G/6, I/1, Z/2, S/5, B/8 ect..

gen'd keys might work on sp, but wont on bnet
and keygens might have hidden loggers/spyware imbeded in them

your best bet would be to buy another copy of the game

Owch that sucks. Like that guy said, try variants. the U and V look almost identical, among other such things. o and 0, you know, stuff like that. if no one else has used your key, and your a legit player assuming you dont use hacks or anything, your key should be fine, blizz doesnt sell foul cd-keys.
