View Full Version : PvM: Inferno or Warmth?

I am currently building a Fireball sorc for PvM in the new ladder, and I ran into a little dillema. This is what I'm planning.

20 Firebolt
20 Fireball
20 Meteor
20 Fire Mastery
1 point Teleskinesis
1 point Teleport
1 point Static Field
Rest into Warmth

Enough STR for Spirit Shield
Enough DEX for Max Block
Rest all into VIT

Is it worth adding points into Infero to buff Meteor for a PvM build, or is Fireball enough? Going for pure vit build, would it be a good idea to max Warmth? (especially considering that I probably won't be getting any gears to buff my mana anytime soon) Should I skip max block for more HP?

Thanks, and any inputs are greatly appreciated.

If you're using Spirit, there's no way you'll be getting max block. At level 85, you'll need over 300 Dexterity. In combination with the 156 Str required, you'll have basically no vitality. Meaning one-hit deaths. All the time. Go for max vita/no dex, or use a different shield.

Beyond the core build, you really don't need anything else...pretty much up to you as it won't make a difference...maybe get a cold armor?

Thanks you in regard to max block.

However, what I meant about skilling between Inferno and Warmth is if I should buff Meteor via Inferno, or add Warmth for mana regen. I could either include Meteor into the core build, or neglect it for pure Fireball sorc. That's my problem here.

Thanks again. :hide:

Pump Inferno. You will have enough Warmth from +skill items later. The added average fire damage is nice in Baal games.
