Hey guys, do you remember back in 1.09 where there were nova/orb hybids. For the past few months, I've been thinking of a possible pvp build WHICH USES 2 ELEMENTS!!! Think of it, a duel elemental sorceress who can fare well in pubs and has ES.

Note, this isn't a guide or anything, I was just thinking that in NL, I could amass all of my gear together to make a fun build that can do well. Please give critiques, gear ideas, etc.

Skill Point Spread:
1 Point Warmth
Max Nova (1 Prereq)
Max Telekinesis
18 ES (4 prereq)
15 Light Mastery
Max Orb (5 prereq)
6 Cold Mastery

Gear (vs Most):
Helm- 2/20 rare helm with good mods
Armor- Vmagi
Weapon- Infinity
Amulet- 2/15+ ammy with other helpful mods
Belt- Arach
Rings- SoJs
Gloves- Mages
Boots- eTreks
Weapon Switch: Cta made in a +3 ts, +3 es, +3 chilling armor staff

Inventory:
Storch
Anni
37 mana/life small charms

Do you guys think this is viable at all. I'd just like to bring back the olden days with nova/orbers. I think possibly I could split up the inventory into light gcs and cold gcs, would that be better than mana/lifers?

Nova will not really do enough damage to be of use that way. You can only use it as a backup skill for cold immune monsters. Otherwise this is your usual ES/ORB build. Nova will be auxiliary, but not a mass killer.

When I was tossing the idea around, I was thinking more the other way around. The gear is quite nova-oriented (infinity), and the skills have more of a nova influence than that of a orber.

I'm only really losing out on about +24% lightning damage and 3 Light Grand Charms from my regular nova, and she does relatively well in pvm, and can destroy a pub game, though its difficult vs people who are prepared to stack.

Perhaps if I switched the gear around to make orb more strong :scratch: .
