It's definately not BS. I've noticed Shivering Armor does this too but for melee attacks :hint: :hint:

Anyone have some reliable testing of this? the only "proof" I've seen included blockable attacks (wearing a shield) and lightning attacks with low min dmg.

Anyone tried this with for example Bone Spears or fireballs versus a naked sorc using chilling armor?

I myself am a huge fan of the cold armours, especially Chilling armour as I find myself more at risk from ranged attacks than melee (melee you can teleport away from rather easily however, ranged attacks can sometimes be very fast like extra fast skeleton archers etc)

Plus I like to use shiver when I teleport and then switch to chilling when I face meph as it has blocked his cold orb attack more times than I can remember and since I have got blizzard, I don't find it a waste putting a hard point in chilling which allows me to use an mf belt as opposed to snowclash and allows me to have an mf switch rather than an orb/staff with + to chilling/shiver.

That video on youtube is very interesting, I wonder if that was with one point only in the armour or whether it was maxed out with loads of plus skills. There is also a demonstration of shiver armour killing a melee character, but I think they are naked!

Hmm, that is indeed quite nice to know. Using Chilling Armor against Mephi. You learn something new every day. Anyone else with close up experience or testing results?

Alright, so i busted ars testing this and i am sure about some and more or less sure about some other stuff:

1, It works WITH your armour. It basickly adds another layer so the attack has to penetrate like a meleee would.

2, it only works with dmg attacks although SOME other attacks does trigger the response (mephs cold orb and nova, but not lightning attacks)

3, It does NOTHING to melee attacks

4, the following increase its blocking ability:

1, Your normal defense
2, Chilling armours Level
3, your level (i think)
4, monsters level (i think)
