still don't understand the es thing

assume I would make a 95es sorc with max telekenesis, mana around 4.5k
but my res would be quite awfull, let's say -10 at hell
would I die easy vs sorcs? foh?

ive heard that your res doesn't matter when you go full es, is that true?
