Uber tristram and the sorceress

Hi there.

I have never been to uber tristram or tried killing the uber three. However, I did hear that the uber 3 are Immune to all 3 elements - fire, lightning and cold. Is this actually true. If so, how is a sorceress supposed to kill them?

Or better, how is a sorceress supposed to aid her group when fighting the uber 3? Your elemental attacks are useless, and if they are indeed immune, then you can just stand back and watch while others fight...? Enchant aside though, because not every sorceress has it, obviously.

If I am supposed to melee them down then that's not such a good idea I believe, unless you get some really good gear. But then again if I really wanted a melee char to kill the uber 3 I'd build myself a paladin...

Someone actually sole'ed the ubers with a blizz/melee sorc hybrid, so it is definitly possible. Are you sure their immuniteies are unbreakable?

It's possible, I think Mephisto is lightning immune... There's information on arreat summit about them, read there.

Someone did indeed finish the Ubers with a Melee sorc, I don't know if it was a Blizzy sorc though, many other variants has made it too.
I think he used Revives combined with blizzard to finish of one of the bosses...

Other combinations should be good, and you would need good Lifetap to survive, and a chunk of Psy damage. Eg weapon; Grief. Or another weapon. CB and OW. Good res..

Ah I apologize - the uber 3 have VERY high resistances to all elements. However, I did hear that their HP regen is so high that it shouldn't be possible for a sorceress to out damage the regen.

However, if they indeed are only resistant to damage, then Cold mastery would pierce that resistance right?

As for monsters immune to all 3 elements, I must apologize for the confusion - I actually meant some other monsters, demons in the uber Izual's area are immune to all 3 elements, and magical damage, the only way to kill them is physical damage.

Didn't believe it myself the time i saw that thread, but the op went into great detail about how to do it. It's indeed possible. Gear requirement is pretty steep. Nothing to start the new ladder with *g*
