Ok, I just found and reinstalled my dia 2 and lod disks, but can't seem to connect to battlenet, even though I have a. connected to bnet from this computer before b. have downloaded the 1.11 patch and c. have internet access (both wireless networks at my university and ethernet

the blizzard website is completely unhelpful, any suggestions?

also--the only servers that show up for me are broodwars, fgfgserver or something, and a few other unfamiliar ones. where are uswest, useast, etc??? It has been a few years since I have played--am I missing something here?

Looks like you downloaded a mod or 3rd party program that changed your server list. You need to reset it: http://www.blizzard.com/support/?id=aall0633p

i'm having a similiar problem, except all my realms are normal, yet i cannot connect to east and west realms, while i can still connect to asia and europe. still cant figure out what to do after re-installing

Also, even if your realms look normal, that doesn't mean they are.

it either goes through the connecting steps until it reaches checking versions within 1/3 of a second, then the connecting window disappears, and im left at the home screen
or it tries to connect really fast and gives me the cannot connect screen and to check my modem

or it tries to connect really fast and gives me the cannot connect screen and to check my modemWhat you described sometimes happens if you're temp banned, but I doubt you'd be temp banned on 2 realms at once. I'd try resetting the realms and waiting awhile.

eh apparently my IP address is banned, and for more than 72 hours too...but strange it would be on both east and west. Not exactly sure what I did to deserve the ban but I sent blizz an e-mail. Thx lots tho, you pointed me in the right direction
