I have a lvl 10 sorc started off in 1.07 softcore, which I plan to play during the weekend. (GF is out of town! YAY! Time to start farming 1.07 ethereals!).
Was thinking of MPing with her, to give/get some help. Don't want a rush, but playing alongside a few others would be nice. She's got the catacombs 2 WP, but is too scared to take on Andariel just yet.
If anyone's interested, then just play a 1.07 char to lvl 10, then I'll host games during the weekend. I can be PMed if it seems I have forgotten about this thread.

Got tired of ladder 4. Sorc is lvl 50 now, doing some rack running since I found a rack that drops Russet Armors on the route I take between 6 LK superchests just by the WP...
When I do rack one or two skullders, I'll move on to hell. Would be interested in MPing then.
Just to update: I'm soon lvl 79, beat hell baal, so most of my MPing would revolve around leveling.
Maybe some day when i get 107 to work on the new puter. I have som chars from the old type bear sorc barb and ama... never found that arkaines or +40 maxgcharm. Gl leveling as that is a pain in that patch but the crafts are worth it in my op. Beware of this though... oops seems i need a imghoster... talking about highlords without deadly strike, the 108 is godly compared.
Due to cold mastery and generally low monster HP, my sorc isn't facing any real problems except for Baal's one-hitter. AFAIK, cows should be the best bet for leveling anyway, so that's what I'm going at atm when not racking.
To my knowledge, lvl 91 is about as far as it's worth going. With no /players command, that's going to be tough, which is why I'm still open for MPing for leveling purposes.
And yes, I've already discovered that the uniques in 1.07 is a whole other story :) I've found titans, the ward, rockfleece, etc and almost cried. But once I found Arkaines and Hellslayer, the pain was acceptable.
Yeah some like ribcracker are pretty sad. i almost cried when identifying that one while sporting a poor fireclaws druid. in the end it all worked out but cost a lot of runes and jewels. i'm sad to say that i won't be playing any 1.07 soon as i'm currently working on my own 3 hour twinked hell-hellforge sorc ala nightfish's
http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=459666&highlight=fast+hell . perhaps you could try players without the slash as players x-64 was in 108 or was it 109? and baal is a pain... died multiple times there. some poster suggested the racked version of laying of hands for it's complete fire reist. i have yet to find that one too :rolleyes:.
The players command was added in 1.09 IIRC and it was "players x" with no slash or confirmation message.
Baal's one-hit-kill thing isn't fire damage, it's magic. So 1.07 LoH won't help.
I think this thread can be safely closed now. I'm 82+ now, and the goal of getting to 91 won't really be any easier even with MPing. I'd might be able to help with rushes, though, since my sorc is pretty strong.

Aren't you playing HC, Heskla? HC 1.07 Multiplayer would be waaaay too risky for my taste:rolleyes:
Oh, yeah, I haven't mentioned that I'm 98% SC and this is one such case. I didn't have the guts to start HC in 1.07 and even if I had, I'd still want to get items for the majority of my characters; the SC ones.
I'll help out with rushes, finishing nasty quests etc when I've gotten a few more uniques off of my current racks. I have the following racks I run in act 5:
#1 - 100% Ogre Gauntlets (useless, but i have to pop it for #2)
#2 - 100% Thunder Mauls (only if I pop #1 first)
#3 - (shrine, witches can't curse players with shrines or other curses)
#4 - Sparkly chest (drops ilvl 99 items, so GCs from here are promising)
#5 - Unstable rack, drops Shakos, Bramble Mitts, Grand Crowns, Archon Plates, Dusk Shrouds, Wire Fleeces commonly though)
#6 - Unstable rack, drops Threshers, Conquest Swords, Cryptic Swords, Partizans commonly.
And in LK i have 100% Balrog skin rack and 100% Decapitator rack, though I have one of each unique already.... But there's too many super-awesome items I can get off of those racks atm, so I won't be MPing until I have at least 1 shako, 2 LoH, 1 eth 4s thresher, 1 15%sup thresher, 1 cranium basher.... which is going to take a while :shocked:
@Grisu - Well. On some occations (like this) I'll actually go SC. Maybe that's betraying the dark side of HC but, I might go HC1.07 when I get "the feeling" of the patch.
Some 1.11b HC MP would be nice thou... even thou it's risky...

So that's where all the thresher racks are going... lol still no luck here. I did find 2 cleg gloves from the top left HoV rack in just 3 runs, on completely different map seeds, and then from the same rack haemosu's adament less than 10 runs later, same place, same rack, different seed... Yeah...
Anyway not sure how you usually arrange games, hamachi? But I'll join you, see if I can help you out some. Unless perhaps I come across a map with shako, balrog, thresher and russet all at once...

Well, the most usual way is to just create a multiplayer game TCPIP/IPX kind.
Yeah that's what hamachi facilitates, the players of some d2 mods like Median use it for mp.

Hamachi is not needed what I now... It's jsut to host a simple MP-game...

I think xp leech is pretty good yes. I'm probably done at work around 19:00 stockholm time (same as oslo time) or a little before. I'll try and send you a PM when I get home. I don't really have other plans anyway ;)

^^ I'll probably mule off Khalim's Will after we make it (I want a weapon like the one Phool made) and the cube (so one will drop in Trav) to make my next characters easier. I've been using Isenhart's set on my zon so far, but pretty soon the damage charms will start kicking in (lvl 22 and 24) so I'll be doing enough damage with just about any bow.
Ah, those nasty charms! I'm going untwinked BTW. You prefer me to play sorc, pala, ama or sorc?
I'd prefer you play sorc, due to tele giving us an easy time in NM and hell. No need to go totally untwinked; I have some startup gear (and can easily get more, esp sets) and some mid-game gear. The only end-game gear I have is my prechiousssss racked and cubed stuff tho, and I'm not rich enough to start handing it out just yet. But I'll get there.
I have two weeks plus of vacation coming up, starting friday 7th at 13:57 local time, ending tuesday 25th at 08:00. So I'll be available for 1.07 MPing like never before. I might go visit my grandparents for a few days, but there's no way in hell I'm staying more than a couple days ;)
On a side note, I have 14 episodes left of "24", then I've watched all six seasons. Then that won't cut into my playing either.
With some luck and some dedication, I can rack the few items I really want from my current map (another arkaines, basher, LoH) within a few days, and then my sorc is up for rushing.
