My Pally cannot join games anymore

My Paladin was doing some mfing in the tunnels leading up to the ancients in act 5 when he was killed by a mana burn pack of monsters. I knew I couldn't get my corpse and quit the game. I then joined a self created game to retreive my body. After I retrieved it I started putting the mana and health pots back into my belt when I got the error message "Your connection has been interupted." After that every time I try to join a game it says "failed to join".

This has been going on for an hour or so. What is happening? I hope I didn't loose this char and his gear because he has my best stuff.

Let it sit for a bit, problems like these tend to be lag related and resolve themselves eventualy.

the only solution i have is exit battle net to the char selection screen and then click that char it works 99% of the time for me

It's what people commonly call: "FTJ" (Failed to join). The best way to get rid of it is to wait it out.

He's very right about that, or you could try restarting you computer. (If you haven't done it yet.)

I don't think that does anything, except make you wait.

When I usually get the "Failed to join" I restart my computer and it's all over, but it only takes 30-35 seconds for my computer to restart, though.

Usually in issues of FTJ, the games still thinks that your character is in the last game he was in, thus prevents him from joining other games. That's why you can switch to another char and he works fine, go back to the FTJ'd one and he still can't join.

You just have to give bnet enough time to realize that you're not in the old game anymore and time you out, thus making your character again available to join other games.

if this ever happens to me i find that joining rather than creating a new game usually works for me.
