Supposing I have a lvl 85 merc, that means he has a slvl 25 might (on the dii mercenary page), is that right? That means the merc itself will have something like a +280% dmg bonus, but how is the aura bonus calculated? It seems like it is something like 1/3 or 1/4 the actual ED.

The +280% gets added in with all other sources of off-weapon %ed before getting applied to the weapon damage. Check the Strategy Compendium (http://strategy.diabloii.net/news.php?id=551)if you need it spelled out in a formula.
Err, what I meant was the bonus applied to those affected by the aura (i.e. me), not the merc himself. The calculation is different then, isn't it?
No, all calculations are the same... you just have a bunch of %ed you might not think about. For example, str gives %ed. We'd have to know more about your character to tell what all the factors are :)
Oh, surprising. Well I was actually wondering about my skellies... So skellie damage with might merc is effectively quadrupled?

No... Raise Skeleton has an enhanced damage associated with it.
afaik mercs have
lvl 16 might @ 79
lvl 17 might @ 83
lvl 18 might @ 87
etc
